As soon as the weather cleared up, we immediately scheduled this outdoor photoshoot for Shinano's swimsuit. After days of overcast and rainy weather that delayed our shooting schedule, we were blessed with abundant, crystal-clear sunshine—ideal for capturing the airy, translucent texture of this blue-and-white swimsuit. The most eye-catching feature of the look is the pair of large, fluffy animal ears. Designing the custom internal wireframe took considerable effort to ensure realistic plush volume, and once worn, their angle required constant fine-tuning to prevent them from looking stiff on camera.

Long silver hair easily causes harsh highlights under intense outdoor sunlight, so during makeup and hair styling, matte wax was used to control texture while retaining silky-smooth hair ends, making it easier to capture dynamic motion when the breeze blew. In terms of costume, the upper bodice features intricate white lace detailing. To faithfully match the original character design, the bow on the chest and the blue floral accents on the sleeves incorporated subtle sequined material, shimmering brilliantly in the sun.

The semi-sheer tulle fabric looks fantastic outdoors, though it demands careful attention to fabric folds along the edges during shooting. In particular, the high-slit skirt—whether walking or gently lifting it up as in the third photo—not only lets sunlight filter through to produce a ripple-like texture, but also showcases natural leg contours. To harmonize with the overall palette, I opted for white stockings; their versatile texture and the interplay of light and shadow on the legs added immense visual appeal.

To achieve the ideal posture during shooting, many subtle adjustments were made. In the first photo, leaning sideways against the lounge chair with one hand supporting my cheek captured a languid, relaxed state; the second kneeling pose required engaging my core to keep my backline taut and elegant; in the third standing shot, lifting the hem with my center of gravity shifted slightly backward allowed my posture to appear naturally stretched and poised. Repeating these poses several times took effort, but seeing the final results made it completely worthwhile.

With swimsuit cosplay as the primary theme, the makeup emphasized fresh, dewy translucency. Pale blue eyeshadow echoed the garment's tones, complemented by a lightweight base and gentle blush to mirror the character's gentle warmth. We constantly retouched makeup between takes due to the outdoor heat and sweat; to maintain flawless skin texture on camera, the team also continuously adjusted reflectors to accentuate facial contours.

Choosing a poolside setting was not only for its complementary aesthetic, but also because water reflections cast natural catchlights into the eyes, giving the expression an extra spark of life. Looking at the final photos, both the outfit's fidelity and the overall atmosphere exceeded expectations. The harmony of texture, light, and shadow came together seamlessly, making this a thoroughly fulfilling outdoor shoot.
