For this Blue Archive Tachibana Nozomi pajama-themed shoot, we decided on a sunroom with floor-to-ceiling glass windows as our location. To capture that languid, effortless ambiance of waking up early in the morning, I deliberately picked a space filled with raw wood elements and lush greenery.

In terms of hair and makeup, the light green shoulder-length wig with blunt bangs was trimmed to frame the face cleanly; paired with pale-toned contact lenses, it gave the gaze a softer touch. In addition to the signature pointed elf ears, the green halo and horned headpieces atop the wig were carefully anchored beforehand. The outfit was a light blue and white dress featuring generous ruffles, delicate lace, and puff sleeves, with a light blue bow tied neatly at the collar. Since the theme was sleepwear, I skipped overly elaborate accessories, keeping the overall vibe fresh, crisp, and clean.

The lighting conditions on the day of the shoot were ideal. Sunlight poured through the wooden-framed windows in broad strokes, creating a luminous, airy high-key look. The wooden furniture in the background, a table covered in a green plaid tablecloth, and a white ceramic vase filled with fresh white and yellow blossoms added rich layers to the frame. I used two cross-back wooden chairs as main props. In the first shot, I curled up on the chair with hands folded across the chair back, peering slightly down at the lens to convey a quiet calm with a hint of guardedness. In the second shot, leaning back with legs naturally crossed and extended forward while supporting myself with one hand on the chair edge to look straight into the camera, the pose highlighted a relaxed stretch of the body and brought dynamic tension to the composition.

Being a pajama concept, I opted for a completely Barefoot photoshoot approach for the feet. During the shoot, I continuously coordinated body language with the photographer, striving for the most organic postures to capture the character's aura of mystery and purity. Although the outfit appears simple, translating an anime character into tangible form through expressions and gestures took plenty of on-site fine-tuning. I immersed myself in Nozomi's mindset in such a setting—zoning out while gazing at the greenery outside the window, or refocusing attentively when looking back into the lens. The indoor temperature was actually quite chilly, but for the sake of the natural light and image texture, we persevered in the sunlight to finish the set. The natural wood tones of the floor, the vibrant green outside the window, and the soft blue on the character harmonized effortlessly, yielding rich atmosphere without needing heavy post-processing. A closer look reveals white lace crochet fabrics and blankets draped over the wooden chairs, softening the visual feel against the rigid wooden frames. We avoided complicated lighting equipment, relying mainly on natural light softened by reflectors to retain authentic skin textures. The final results achieved virtually everything I had envisioned for this shoot, making it a truly delightful experience.
