[Tendou Arisu cosplay] Nanning Blue Archive Only 5.0 Aris (Armed) Convention Photos - Image 1

For Nanning Blue Archive Only 5.0, I decided to cosplay my favorite daughter, Arisu. Since it was my first time attending this specific convention, I felt somewhat uncertain before going, worried that the crowds would make navigating difficult and that this massive prop railgun might bump into others in tight spaces.

The night before heading out, I styled the wig from scratch. The light-blue twintails needed styling wax and setting spray to carve out crisp, textured layers. The mecha-ear headpieces were crafted with hot-melt glue and acrylic sheets; they had substantial weight, requiring careful balancing on my head to keep them from tipping backward. For makeup, the highlight of Arisu's look was the reddish blending around the outer corners of the eyes. Paired with light blue contact lenses, this brought out that distinct android-girl aesthetic. For my base, I used long-lasting liquid foundation, as convention temperatures and lighting really put endurance to the test.

Wardrobe-wise, this white, blue, and black sleeveless bodysuit for Aris (Armed) was custom-tailored. We chose a thick fabric with just the right amount of elasticity so strange wrinkles wouldn't crease when walking or posing. The lower pleated skirt was hemmed slightly shorter, paired with glossy dark over-the-knee socks (Stockings cosplay). While this reflective material looks gorgeous, it easily traps sweat, so I applied anti-chafing patches to my inner thighs and kept baby powder handy for touch-ups.

That iconic blue-and-white sci-fi railgun was the undeniable star of the convention floor. Because of its massive scale, entering the venue drew countless eyes. Carrying it was a serious test of core strength; I rigged a concealed support strap in the back to make handling the weapon far more manageable. While striking poses, I kept the barrel held level, pairing it with dynamic leaps kicking one leg back, which the photographer captured with fantastic motion blur.

The atmosphere at Nanning Blue Archive Only 5.0 exceeded my expectations. Walking through the halls, many recognized Aris and politely asked for photos or selfies, and I gladly posed for everyone's lens. Though holding the weapon was tiring, seeing everyone smile made it entirely worthwhile. The venue floor was covered with a wave-patterned carpet, whose reflections paired with the glossy leg sleeves to create sublime visual textures.

Receiving so many wonderful Convention photos from the photographers brought me immense joy. Their mastery of framing and light was deeply professional, leveraging ambient venue lighting and the reflective textures of my outfit to weave an atmosphere where sci-fi and cyberpunk aesthetics intertwined. One backlit shot taken along the hallway gorgeously rimmed the silhouette of the railgun and my profile, turning out truly breathtaking.

After the convention wrapped up, taking off the wig and heavy outfit left me physically exhausted, yet inwardly fulfilled. This outing not only dialed in my equipment synergy, but also introduced me to fantastic photographers and fellow fans. I can't wait to take Aris to even more conventions, refining poses and expressions to showcase an even better presence.
