This Blue Archive Hayase Yuuka cosplay set, shot using the Canon R6 Mark II paired with the RF 24-70mm F2.8 L lens, focused primarily on interior lighting techniques and conveying a relaxed character presence. Rather than overly exaggerated poses or expressions, I aimed to stay as close as possible to the character's everyday campus state.

Regarding the styling, pairing the sailor top with navy shorts preserved the character's iconic School swimsuit cosplay element while adding a grounded, wearable everyday feel. The Black stockings cosplay at my feet rendered with exceptionally smooth texture under the Canon R6 Mark II's natural skin-tone science, which, combined with the cool-toned fluorescent tube lights in the classroom, gave the entire frame a subtle, clean chill. The RF 24-70mm lens proved remarkably versatile in the confined indoor space, delivering excellent spatial depth whether capturing half-body portraits or establishing the background lockers and blackboard.

Looking specifically at the poses, I personally feel the shot seated on the edge of the desk best captures this everyday feel. With legs dangling naturally and toes slightly engaged to keep the stockings taut, it cleanly traced the leg lines. Placing my hands in front of my chest provided a steady visual center of gravity for the upper body, keeping my posture solid during shooting. I adjusted the bow tie several times to make sure the scarf wouldn't crumple awkwardly against the desk edge when seated. Under the overhead ceiling lights, the surface of the black stockings caught subtle highlights; I deliberately preserved this texture in post-processing without smoothing it away, making the image feel far more tangible and authentic.

For post-production lighting effects, I added a subtle fine-particle mist layer around the upper thighs and lower abdomen—partly to inject a touch of anime dreaminess into this campus shoot so it wouldn't feel overly grounded, and partly to mask minor lighting seams and edge exposures. The floating halo overhead was supported by an ultra-thin bracket during shooting, which was then blended with blur and compositing in post to achieve a completely natural floating appearance.

The Canon R6 Mark II's eye-detection autofocus was truly tack-sharp; even with a wig and a massive halo prop overhead, the focus locked reliably onto the eyes without hunting. The image stabilization of the RF 24-70mm also provided great confidence during handheld shooting, delivering crisp shots even at slower shutter speeds and saving the hassle of retakes from motion blur. Overall, as an indoor cosplay photography experience, the equipment and styling were exceptionally well-matched, visually materializing Yuuka's diligent yet charmingly clumsy persona.
