This Swimsuit outdoor photography shoot was scheduled at the beach during dusk; the diffuse reflection of natural light is far better suited for swimsuit themes than midday direct sunlight, allowing the imagery to achieve a softer translucency.

The swimsuit design emphasizes visual layering. White ruffles add visual lightness, while black thin ties and bows across the chest serve as wonderful accents, keeping the overall look from feeling plain in pure white. The beaded waist chain is a detail easily overlooked in photos, but as I walk or when a gentle breeze blows, it creates subtle reflections following body movements—a crucial accessory for authentic character recreation. The yellow halo atop my head, black-framed sunglasses, and transparent handbag with dark blue handles were key props in this shoot, further concrete-ing the outfit's Summer atmosphere.

Regarding makeup, to complement outdoor light sources and the swimsuit theme, I specifically chose a clean, translucent base makeup and eschewed heavy colors in eye makeup, focusing primarily on structural contours so the makeup wouldn't look muddy under sea wind and natural light. The wig underwent careful styling before shooting—the curvature of the side ponytail and the direction of the bangs had to align precisely with the original anime design to ensure wearing headpieces felt seamless.

That single-leg standing pose with one arm raised high during shooting actually put my core strength to the test. With weight centered on the supporting leg, the other foot needed to maintain a naturally extended line while keeping facial expressions relaxed and effortless. Since beach sand is coarse and uneven, standing steadily was far from easy, so the photographer and I repeatedly adjusted angles and stance points just to capture the moment where the skirt hem draped naturally and leg lines lengthened.

Beyond character poses, utilizing the background effectively demanded careful consideration for Beach photography. We needed to ensure the character remained the visual centerpiece while allowing the depth layers of the ocean and distant mountains behind to complement the subject naturally. The transparent handbag also required special angle adjustments during framing to prevent its surface from over-reflecting sky and water colors, which would ruin its inherent texture.

Post-editing for this set avoided overly saturated processing, choosing instead to preserve soft lighting and natural tones. Through this Japanese-style translucent touch, I hoped to convey Ajitani Hifumi's refreshing and carefree side in summer. The sound of waves and intermittent ocean breeze provided the ultimate ambient atmosphere. After completing the shoot, I walked along the tide line for a bit; realizing a character through natural light and outdoor scenes offers a unique experience that studio shooting can hardly replace.
