[Kafka cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail - You Are Cordially Invited to This Red and Black Banquet

For this shoot of Kafka, the main focus was to capture her effortless sense of total control over the banquet as 'Mom.' Given the cocktail party dress setting, meticulous coordination between the scene and props was essential. With red contact lenses, cool-toned foundation, and neatly trimmed red hair, a lot of time went into fine-tuning the eye shape to replicate her cool, aloof demeanor. The trickiest parts of the outfit were the waist butterfly ornament and fitting the long gloves; the white velvet gloves gave off a stunning reflection under the pink and purple lighting. During the shoot, we deliberately prepared hefty gold bars, casino chips, and wine glasses; the gaming table against the wine cabinet background perfectly elevated the luxurious high-society vibe. Shots standing before the red curtain or sitting in a velvet armchair holding a wine glass best captured her signature blend of languid ease and lurking danger. The pink laser lines in the first background were added in post-production; this clash of cyberpunk sci-fi flair and classic Gothic red-and-black tones further highlighted Kafka's enigmatic persona. To achieve the perfect shot, I constantly experimented with sitting postures and hand placements, fine-tuning the angle of the glass and the focus of my gaze to project poised yet assertive dominance. The slim fit of this black dress demanded pristine posture—even a slight slouch would ruin the silhouette, so keeping my core engaged was a must. The pose sitting cross-legged while raising the glass required the most leg and arm control, needing repeated shifts of gravity to keep body lines looking natural and relaxed. In bust-up close-ups, casting my gaze slightly downward while working with the gloves helped convey her authoritative sense of manipulation. Throughout the session, I communicated extensively with the photographer on composition and lighting preferences, such as using side pink light bars to add depth.
