Changing into this Chen Hai - A Night of Passion skin from Azur Lane Chen Hai and standing before the mirror to capture this set of Cosplay fitting photos, my immediate impression was that the red-and-white outfit is truly the most vibrant aspect of the entire design.
From an overall silhouette perspective, this Chen Hai - A Night of Passion outfit tests body proportions heavily. The red satin fabric presents a gentle luster under indoor lights, while white floral cluster decorations on the chest and 3D floral branches extending down the waist and skirt hem serve as the most prominent visual focus. The combination of red-and-white paneling with a high slit accentuates curved aesthetics while retaining an elegant, dignified demeanor. I intentionally paired it with white pantyhose tights and red pointed-toe heels; this combination not only echoes the outfit's own color scheme, but also dramatically elongates lower-body visual proportions, giving the entire look a sleeker, more sophisticated aura.
During the Cosplay fitting process, what required the most attention was actually arranging the veil and large white sleeves. Because the veil material is thin, lightweight, and soft, it slips off or tangles with hair if one isn't careful; meanwhile, though the white detachable wide sleeves spread out beautifully in photos, they require conscious arm-angle control during activity to manifest an ethereal, graceful posture. The outfit's adaptability relies heavily on the wearer's posture and facial demeanor. The slit position sits just right—never overly revealing, yet introducing visual depth through subtle glimpses of leg lines while walking.
This photo set was shot entirely as mirror selfies. Shooting on a high-reflectivity black floor offers the advantage of utilizing ground reflections to extend spatial sense in the frame. To highlight the reflective texture of the tights and leg lines, I adjusted several standing poses during shooting, focusing weight shifts on slightly bending knees and popping hips; this allowed skirt pleats to drape naturally while maximally displaying the slender visual effects brought by the high slit. Direct overhead lighting illuminated the white lace and golden decorations nicely, keeping these fine details from washing out before the camera.
My overall feeling from this Cosplay fitting is that this outfit will certainly be photogenic in video production or anime convention outdoor settings. The classic red-and-white color palette paired with splendid 3D embellishments incorporates traditional folklore elements while blending modern dress tailoring. Although the wearing process is more complex compared to casual wear—especially with wide sleeves needing constant care to avoid dragging on the floor and getting dirty—the final photo results make it completely worthwhile. Currently, the overall performance of this look has met my expectations; in particular, the combination of white tights and high heels makes the entire lower body silhouette look seamlessly smooth. Whether in static displays or subtle motion snapshots, this costume delivers rich visual tension, making it ideal for themed outdoor photoshoots.
