Sharing my Azur Lane cosplay from the convention floor today! The costume fabric is a deep blue patent leather material I have always wanted to try; under natural daylight, it carries its own brilliant sheen that instantly catches the eye. However, the trade-off with patent leather is complete lack of breathability. Combined with the snug cut of a one-piece bodysuit, spending over half a day on the move across an outdoor anime convention proved to be a major test of endurance. To balance the ensemble, I wore black safety shorts underneath, paired with sheer Black stockings and pointed-toe black stilettos, which visually elongated my leg lines wonderfully.

Considerable effort went into the accessories. The black bunny ear headband features white striping and had to be anchored securely to avoid tilting during movement. The black choker around the neck and the arm sleeves echoed the overall leather texture. The black cane in hand carried noticeable weight; its metallic base gave it solid visual presence in the frame, though it required switching hands frequently while holding poses. The black devil tail behind the waist was another fun accent—walking through crowds demanded vigilance to keep it from tangling around my legs or brushing against passersby.

For hair and makeup, the long light-blue wig was trimmed and set in advance, especially the upturned hair tufts on both sides of the crown, which required repeated styling with hairspray to build airy dimension. To match the blue hair, I wore blue contact lenses and sculpted deeper contours into the eye makeup, finishing with vibrant crimson lips to brighten facial contrast and introduce a cool, alluring edge.

The shooting took place on an outdoor asphalt street, with many casual convention attendees and people holding umbrellas visible in the background—a grounded setting that actually felt brimming with authentic convention atmosphere. To best showcase the Black stockings and leg lines, the photographer and I coordinated several three-quarter and crossed-leg stances. For example, in the third shot, crossing my legs while leaning gently on the cane not only relieved foot pressure from prolonged standing in heels, but also accentuated body curves. Holding the cane also had its nuances—gripping it with hands staggered or holding it with one hand made the composition far more dynamic.

Cosplay truly requires deep passion to endure. From test makeup and adjusting wardrobe details to withstanding sultry outdoor heat during shoots, every step demands energy. Yet seeing the rich sheen of the fabric and the commanding presence of the final selects makes the entire day's exhaustion completely worthwhile.
