The concept behind this photoshoot was relatively simple: portraying a poor little thing sitting by the roadside after being picked on, serving as a playful creative shoot. To highlight the contrast, I specially selected this light blue JK uniform; the pink bow tie and white top, combined with the wig and elf ears, gave off a delicate maiden feel. On the day of the shoot, a vintage black schoolbag and a pile of scattered comic books were placed on the floor to reinforce the atmosphere of being bullied or struggling with studies.

Regarding the makeup and styling, the long golden hair with hair accessories, pointed ears, White stockings, and platform sneakers delivered great character accuracy. The first photo used a standard frontal composition with hands raised by both cheeks, creating a delightfully innocent and derpy look through the gaze. The second photo captured a side-sitting pose, clutching a book with one hand while pointing at my chin with the other, crafting an aura of deep thought or slight grievance. The shoot took place against a pure white backdrop under evenly diffused lighting with softboxes, casting minimal shadows to accentuate the clothing's authentic colors and skin texture.

During shooting, fine-tuning prop placement and leg positioning took a long time—especially with the White stockings—to elongate leg lines without looking overly slouchy. When shooting this kind of character, controlling facial expressions is vital: you need to balance a cool aloofness with a touch of wounded innocence while retaining that distinct 2D anime cuteness. In post-processing, we avoided complex edits, mainly dimming the background slightly and brightening facial light and shadow. For a fun, playful shoot, I prioritized the overall cleanliness of the frame and the physical texture of the props, making it feel like an everyday slice-of-life scene from an anime. I'm very glad to re-interpret the character's state in this setting through my own perspective.
