This blue-and-white dress look for Rem marks the final set of convention photos from my recent anime con schedule.

For the wig, I selected a light blue bob cut trimmed to neatly frame the facial contours, adding subtle styling hold to the stray wisps along the forehead. To harmonize with the overall palette, I wore bright blue colored contacts, intensifying the reddish eyeshadow blending around the eyes paired with pink blush and rosy lips to capture the character's clear, translucent, and innocent presence. The plush cat ears at the crown were anchored onto a headband adorned with a blue ribbon, preventing them from slipping during shooting while cleanly flattering head proportions.

The costume served as the centerpiece of this shoot. The overarching palette is a collision of pure white and pale blue: the bodice features a white lace corset design accented with pale blue satin ribbons and a purple gemstone centered on the chest. The skirt is richly multi-tiered, with white lace underneath blanketed by light blue tulle and generous ruffles. To maximize flare, a casual petticoat was worn underneath. The oversized light blue plush tail on the back required subtle hand-support while standing or walking to prevent it from dragging across the ground. The elongated white lace sleeves are flared and wide, edged with blue ribbons; because voluminous sleeves can look bulky, I kept my arms slightly away from the torso, using the peripheral distortion of the wide-angle lens to make them appear airier. The white lace choker with draping blue ribbons also formed an integral detail.

The handheld prop was a bouquet of pale blue and white roses paired with eustoma, bound by white silk ribbons to echo the blue-and-white color harmony. This shoot took place during the Chengdu World Line Anime Exhibition. With daytime crowds packing the halls, I opted for an evening outdoor session to find cleaner scenery. The nightscape provided a clean, distraction-free backdrop; we found an open flagstone area and laid down a white plush rug, which cushioned the skirt and knees while establishing a pristine foreground tone in the dark.

Night photography heavily tests lighting control. High-powered strobes and softboxes were deployed on set; because white lace and pale blue tulle easily blow out or lose structural detail at night, light angles required precise tuning to keep the skirt's dimensional layering legible. Chengdu's night wind was rather chilly; despite wearing White stockings and over-the-knee socks, lingering outside eventually brought the cold, though the extended sleeves offered some windbreak protection.

Poses revolved primarily around seated and kneeling stances. When wearing an expansive skirt, sitting on the floor carries the risk of exposure, so I favored seated profile angles or smoothed the hem under my legs, extending my feet toward the lens to visually elongate leg lines and highlight the texture of the White stockings. Half-kneeling postures allowed the voluminous skirt to fan out beautifully. I also experimented with posing my hands as cat paws to complement the cat ears with playful charm. Extensive effort went into everything from costume maintenance and makeup nuances to technical night-lighting coordination, making this Rem look one of my most satisfying works lately.
