[Klee Cosplay] Genshin Impact's Spark Knight and a Warm Afternoon with a Little Lamb

Klee from Genshin Impact has so many cute settings inherently, and during this outdoor shoot, I happened to meet a super friendly and gentle little white lamb. Holding this little lamb, I instantly felt the character's atmosphere maxed out—Cute pet interaction always brings so many unexpected surprises to cosplay.

The outfit coordination this time mainly focused on recreating the base character design, featuring a reddish-brown short coat, a white plush necktie, and that iconic big white pom-pom. To emphasize the plush texture, I specifically chose a sun-drenched location for this Outdoor photography session. Sunlight struck the light golden wig, creating a beautiful translucent gloss. The pointed ear accessories on my head were secured stably, staying firmly in place even when bending over to cuddle the lamb, making a super cute pairing with the real lamb's horns.

Posing with this little lamb was actually a bit of a challenge because it was quite free-spirited, moving around at times, requiring me to soothe it while adjusting shooting angles. However, it was also very cooperative, squinting its eyes looking super cozy. Holding a fluffy animal in my arms resonated wonderfully with the plush decorations on my outfit. Integrating natural outdoor elements into Cosplay like this is much more interesting than simple studio shoots, capturing many lively and genuine moments during Coser daily life.

The second photo leans more toward showcasing outfit details; tilting the camera slightly downward reveals hem folds, the red-and-white color scheme, along with brown short boots featuring fluffy trims on my feet. This half-squatting posture also reflects the character's lively personality. For a character like Klee, vibrant red and brown are signature colors; color reproduction under outdoor sunlight was high without color casts caused by strong light, rendering both skin and garment textures beautifully.

Light is truly crucial when shooting this type of outdoor cosplay. Light around 2:00 to 3:00 PM is high enough in angle to hit clothing and create great light-and-shadow contrast, giving clothes stronger three-dimensionality. The lamb in my arms happened to block a portion of sunlight in front, casting a soft shadow on my chest outfit, preventing the overall image from looking overexposed and harsh. Details of the brown shoulder strap and backpack behind me also showed distinct layers under this lighting, offering a more natural completeness than indoor studio shoots.

To recreate the character's feel as much as possible, I actually packed some small props in my bag, but interacting with the lamb on set felt so natural that I focused on shooting with it first. Having a pet or animal as a companion on camera often allows photographers to capture a Cosplayer's most relaxed expression. To maintain high fidelity in the wig, bangs were trimmed just right to fit the forehead in a natural arc; even when blown by wind, they didn't become messy, and their silky texture made the character look lively and fresh.

This time, the main goal was to document the actual effect and unique texture of this costume outdoors. The wig ends were trimmed neatly, working with the bangs to cover the forehead and frame the face shape naturally. When the wind blew, the wig fluttered naturally without looking stiff. Beyond costume texture, makeup was also adjusted to complement the character's innocent charm, focusing on clean, translucent eye makeup. Outdoor photography and studio photography are completely different experiences; outdoor shoots demand greater adaptability and test a Cosplayer's live control over the character.

Cuddling a little lamb while squatting in the fields and enjoying the outdoor breeze was truly a unique cosplay experience. Bringing a beloved character into real-world settings and interacting with real animals feels like bringing 2D cuteness into 3D reality. Shooting the whole set of photos was delightful without feeling tiring. This relaxed outdoor atmosphere and bright sunlight suit this character wonderfully. Without needing overly complex poses, simply holding an animal or tilting one's head slightly easily carries the narrative feel of the image.

Judging from the results of this shoot, the outfit color scheme looks strikingly eye-catching outdoors; the combination of red and brown is durable and doesn't look cheap. Texture-wise, the fluffy tie section feels great to the touch, and the white pom-pom becomes a charming visual highlight. If shooting for this character, I recommend selecting relatively simple backgrounds—wild environments like grass, soil, and blue sky highlight the character's agility far better than complex architecture. Focusing energy on interacting with surrounding elements allows capturing lively, unpretentious, atmospheric photos while making collaboration between photographer and model much smoother.
