Spending weekdays in formal suits shuttling between courtroom and office, and switching on weekends into a fantasy-style blue-violet outfit to pick up a magic wand—this sense of contrast between career and hobby is probably what I define as a perfect weekend. The countdown app on my phone reminded me that I've officially reached 1,000 days of legal practice. This little milestone made me decide to commemorate my weekend with this special photoshoot.

As a practicing lawyer, my daily work involves dealing with statutes, evidence, and various complex contracts, requiring me to remain extremely rigorous, rational, and calm at all times. Fortunately, I have a switch that allows me to shift my state whenever needed. The shooting location for this fan-art creation was chosen at a thoughtfully decorated vintage study. The scene featured numerous wooden bookshelves filled with hardcover books of diverse colors and gilded lettering on their spines. The long table was even set with a vintage typewriter, quill pen, retro globe, and many yellowed parchment scrolls. Combined with several warm yellow antique candles nearby, the ambient lighting was full of atmospheric mood, making it feel like walking into a wizard's tower dedicated to study and alchemy.

The makeup, hair, and props for this shoot were prepared with great detail. Light purple long curly hair paired with animal ear hair ornaments on top, wearing a layered dress accented with multiple straps and delicate lace, dark gloves and a bow tie gave the whole outfit both a sense of mystery and playfulness. Every single prop here was rich with narrative feeling—whether it was the crumpled black wide-brimmed witch hat, the slender black wand, or the glass potion bottle emitting a soft glow at the bottom, all allowed me to quickly immerse myself in the character.

Posing during the shoot was very relaxing. While holding the witch hat and magic wand, I deliberately kept my posture more open, letting the skirt fall naturally to display the silhouette of the overall Weekend outfit. Holding the glowing potion bottle steady toward the camera, I used the light refraction to emphasize a magical atmosphere, with the light passing through the glass reflecting in my eyes, making them look extraordinarily clear. My personal favorite is the moment holding a sheet of white stationery in my teeth, with both hands resting gently on the front chest laces. Paired with the flickering candlelight on the table, it conveyed a lazy and mysterious charm without needing overly dramatic facial expressions.

In fact, many friends might find it hard to associate a rigorous lawyer with an anime-style witch, but this is precisely the balance I strive for. Working for a long time often calls for a passionate hobby to recharge oneself. In reality, I face clients and provide legal consultations; but in the magical weekend world, I get to experience an entirely different life. This contrast between reality and fantasy is my little secret to maintaining a long-term positive mindset.

Reaching 1,000 days of legal practice means I have walked a considerable distance along this career path. The boundary between life and work often blurs with time, but as long as you preserve your own little haven and find relaxation methods that suit you, both can coexist harmoniously. The witch in these photos is just a weekend exclusive edition. When Monday's sunlight shines into the office, I will still don my proper suit and continue playing the rational professional. Living a life where I can freely toggle between these two states is something I find pretty cool.
