[Eula cosplay] The Frost Knight of Mondstadt, Nice to Meet You All

The wind of Mondstadt always carries the scent of flowers and fruits, but standing in this spacious indoor studio today in this attire, I felt as if I could instantly feel the biting air from Cider Lake, and a cold demeanor belonging to a noble knight naturally arose.

The theme of these convention photos is Eula. To accurately replicate this Cryo knight, the pride of Mondstadt, I put a lot of detailed consideration into the costume and props. The upper body features a white and light blue patchwork top, crafted from a relatively lightweight and layered fabric. Combined with the metal decorations below the collarbone, it not only showcases aesthetic design but also ensures breathability during the shoot. Particularly, the hollow-out and strap design on the back beautifully highlighted clean, sharp back lines under the venue's cool-toned lights, which perfectly coincided with the character's tsundere yet elegant temperament.

The lower body is where the visual highlights of this outfit are most concentrated. I chose highly reflective, black glossy leather shorts; the edge tailoring of the pants had to be extremely precise to maintain a perfect silhouette in both squatting and standing poses. The part I'm most satisfied with is this pair of over-knee boots. The boots are made of glossy patent leather, paired with blue straps and metal buckles on the sides, and the hollowed-out design at the thighs visually elongates the leg proportions beautifully. Slipping into them, I felt a very snug, wrapped fit, which added a lot of valiant and heroic spirit to the overall look.

For the hair, the layering of this light blue wig was crucial. The feather-like ornaments on both sides of the crown are integrated with the hair. I used some styling products to maintain its slight volume, ensuring that when turning back or looking up, the strands didn't fly wildly but rather presented natural layering and flow. For the eye makeup, I slightly emphasized the blue hues to echo her palette, which, paired with light-colored contact lenses, hoped to showcase a cool, composed expression in front of the lens.

I must mention this Cryo Greatsword prop. The physically crafted greatsword has a lot of weight to it, and the ice-blue gradient of the blade along with the golden crossguard patterns are incredibly exquisite. Especially the glowing effect on the hilt, it still held excellent texture under the venue lighting. While posing, the Cryo Greatsword's center of gravity was indeed a bit difficult to manage, especially when kneeling on one knee holding the hilt, requiring constant adjustment of my arm angles to steady it. However, this also helped me find that combat-ready state better, as if I were truly swinging a sword in the snowy mountains.

The venue this time was the \"Mengxiang\" studio. The environment was very spacious, and the overhead lighting from the ceiling was highly layered, making it easier to highlight the character and special effects against a solid-color background. A huge part of the credit for the final photos goes to my photographer Qi Meng for the post-processing. The ice crystals on the ground and the drifting snow effects in the original shots were integrated with the environment during the shoot and then refined in post-processing. Qi Meng is highly skilled at handling photos with this Cryo theme. The ambient atmosphere he synthesized with ice crystal shards and falling snow was just right, enhancing the dramatic tension of the frame without obscuring the costume's textures, bringing out the flow and crispness of the Cryo element from the virtual world to the absolute limit.

In terms of specific action captures, we experimented with three different compositions. The first shot, with a sideways backward glance, best showcases the flowing drape of the cape. The second pose, with a hand raised as if charging energy, carries a relaxed, ready-for-battle feel. Personally, I am most fond of the third composition, kneeling on one knee. This posture allowed the Cryo Greatsword to rest vertically on the ground, creating a visual balance between the vertical lines and the horizontal angles of the straps. At the same time, the over-knee boots and thigh straps look incredibly cool under the extended perspective, and the overall frame's center of gravity is the most stable.

Although a full day of shooting was a bit exhausting, seeing the convention photos that we all worked so hard to polish made everything feel completely worth it. In this casual cosplay session, we didn't deliberately try to mimic specific in-game actions but chose instead to feel this confidence and composure laced with a frosty aura, hoping to convey the character's unique charm from Genshin Impact to everyone who sees these photos.
