[Lynette Cosplay] Genshin Impact Magic Assistant's Fun Meme Moments

In this set of photos, I fully immersed myself in that somewhat aloof yet not overly aggressive state, so the post's caption "What are you looking at?" actually fits quite well. I posted this because I wanted to make an everyday reaction meme.

Speaking of makeup, I specifically added a black five-pointed star under my eye to retain the character's sense of mystery. The contact lenses are a purple-gray tone, matching the silver-white wig wonderfully. I didn't pick a glossy lip color, opting instead for a matte orange lip glaze to give a touch of warmth amid the cool indifference.

The hair was a major focal point. Light-colored wigs are actually hard to manage, as they easily get frizzy or look fake. This time, I added a streak of green highlights to the front bangs, letting a pop of mint green jump out from the main silver-white tone for rich layering. I used a curling iron to fine-tune the long curls on both sides, keeping them voluminous without looking bulky, perfectly framing the cheeks.

The headpiece and animal ears were completely handmade modifications. The blue hood fabric is very thin, so I added shaping mesh inside to maintain its standing curve. To achieve the sparkling texture from the game, the ruby embedded in the peacock-blue bow in the center was re-sealed with a layer of clear resin. The white animal ears were reinforced inside so they stand firm and won't easily tip over when moving.

The white lace ruffles at the neck paired with the black lace bustier create rich layers. Below the black-and-white lace bib, I added small pearl chains that reflect delicate flickers of light under the lens—a little clever touch to elevate sophistication. The gray gem in the middle of the collar has gold trim; though tucked in lace and shadow, the fine craftsmanship remains clear.

The weather was gloomy on the shooting day, so indoor lighting was used. The photographer placed warm string lights in the background to simulate bokeh light spots. Normally, high-key lighting can flatten a subject, but side-backlighting was used here on the edges of my hair and facial contours, giving me a three-dimensional look while blurring the background into floating starlight—the ambient atmosphere was right on point.

After editing the photos while retaining skin texture and pores without over-smoothing, I hand-drew two bulging vein symbols on both sides of my face, along with little white lines near the mouth representing stuttering or speechlessness. In the game, this character gives me the impression of being quiet yet super reliable when it counts, so I didn't force a bright, commercial smile in front of the lens; maintaining this relaxed, detached coolness felt truer to her nature.

Honestly, making a truly useful reaction meme takes a lot of prep work. The wig was squished in a bag all night, so I arrived early in the morning to blow-dry and comb it smooth. I applied the base makeup three times before it felt seamless, because reflective light-colored wigs require a slightly thicker base to balance skin tone. If accessories are too light they sway around easily, so I hid a tiny weight behind the pendant to keep it hanging straight.

I'm quite satisfied with the jawline and the lace transition at the neck—it took half a day searching for accessories to piece together this effect. Some might ask why there isn't a cat tail, but for this half-body shoot it was hard to display lower-body props, so I relied mainly on the ears and Catgirl outfit to convey the identity.

Every time I do such an intricate makeup look, removing it at night takes ages, but seeing the final output brings a huge sense of accomplishment. Although the raw photos were already nice, adding these meme doodle lines greatly increased their everyday utility. They're great for sending to friends or using as avatars.
