Once fully geared up in the daily outfit of a Genshin Impact alchemist, it felt essential to visit a setting matching her aura to shoot a set of photos. For this shoot, I selected a library scene as the main backdrop, which perfectly aligns with Sucrose's inherent academic attributes. We prepared many details on shooting day—such as the golden-accented hair ornament atop the head, which beautifully echoed the metallic trim on the shoulder armor, ensuring the blue-and-white outfit didn't look plain while adding a settled, refined texture. The mint green wig offered a cool tone that appeared delightfully translucent under warm ambient lighting. Black-framed glasses are undeniably the soulful piece of this character's look; putting them on instantly summoned a professional academic aura, looking like a dependable assistant studying bio-alkemy. I specifically adjusted the angle of the glasses so they wouldn't glint too harshly while still letting the lively gaze peek through.

The stack of prop books held during the shoot was the real heavy lifter. Carrying six or seven heavy volumes required intentional core engagement to pull off a casual, effortless hold without straining my wrists or stiffening my expression. White gloves on my hands provided a wonderful accent, contrasting visually against dark book covers. This subtle detail came together nicely, conveying an authentic feel of flipping through ancient, heavy tomes. For mobility and styling, I paired gray translucent over-the-knee socks with matching thigh straps and buckles, which, combined with the ruffled skirt hem, gave the lower body silhouette rich dimensional layering under the lens.

The photographer utilized many tilted high-angle shots, combining dark wooden bookshelves in the library scene with a classical oil painting in the background to highlight spatial depth and structural structure. Warm yellow light bathed the wig and outfit, creating a rich atmosphere that harmonized seamlessly with her character style. In terms of composition, I intentionally struck poses reaching up for books or cradling books to my chest, allowing light to fall softly along the side of the wig and book covers. The neatly lined vintage book spines on wooden shelves and background figures in the artwork served as perfect accents, adding significant depth to the tone of this Cosplay photography set.

Beyond visual alignment with character lore, this form of character photography relies heavily on emotional expression. Standing before bookshelves in this scholar outfit, I naturally slipped into a focused, tranquil mindset. Looking up to search for books or gazing down at a book with a faint smile weren't stiffly staged poses; rather, I was genuinely moved by the quiet surroundings and rich aroma of books. For an academic character who frequently shuttles between laboratories and the wild, pausing in a vintage, peaceful room feels exceptionally natural. This unforced, natural state feels far more charming than forced posing, resulting in much more authentic photos.

These photos required no complex post-processing effects, relying almost entirely on on-site lighting and set decoration to yield impressive texture. Though lugging heavy books back and forth to fine-tune visual balance was physically demanding, seeing such atmospheric final shots made it immensely rewarding. Throughout the process, we captured candid, non-rigid moments—like shifting weight while standing or turning sideways to look at the camera—which often feel far more vivid than static posing. As a pure creative endeavor, the process was delightful, and I'm thrilled with how well the character harmonized with the library scene, capturing that quiet sense of academic exploration.
