Shooting this photo set was completely a whim on impulse. When I saw the setup of this studio back then, vivid imagery immediately popped into my head, so I decided to stay over for overtime to finish shooting this set. The studio set was very refined: dark green velvet curtains paired with white lace, along with well-arranged floral accents, plus various vintage wooden bookshelves, a small harp, and candles. The entire space naturally exuded an elegant and mysterious narrative feel, perfectly matching the temperament of this outfit.
The character portrayed this time is Keqing from Genshin Impact. Although everyone's usual impression is that energetic Yuheng, this costume design added a touch of soft elements. For instance, the twin tails were embellished with small white flowers and bows, leaning the overall vibe toward a youthful maidenly charm. The main outfit consists of a modified cheongsam-style top with dark blue and pure white splicing, paired with a purple irregular semi-transparent skirt hem. Gold thread trimming and draped tassel details gave the garment rich layering.
Throughout the shoot, I held a round fan featuring purple floral patterns; the lightweight texture of the fan face paired with purple tassels served as a fantastic interactive prop in the frame. The outfit details were handled meticulously, especially praising this Black tights outfit with white patterns, which beautifully flattered my leg lines under the lens. Paired with black pointed high heels, the visual elongation effect was marvelous. In certain poses, the semi-transparent skirt revealed the leg patterns, maintaining the character's dignified aura while adding a touch of subtle allure.

The lighting was very soft, which not only fully brought out the atmosphere of this vintage studio, but also made the skin texture look delicate on camera, clearly capturing the gold thread trimming and tights patterns. Thanks also to studio @Chunzi for providing a scene that was exceptionally photogenic; every prop placement in the scene showed thoughtful care, yielding rich and full visuals for this Studio portrait without needing heavy rearranging.
During this shoot, we specifically experimented with several composition angles. For instance, the full shot sitting on a vintage chair with a red background nicely displayed the skirt's silhouette and the complete scene; the side-seated angle highlighted the dress layering and guided the eyes upward; and the standing posture holding the fan allowed viewers to feel perspective through props. Every pose underwent multiple trials and adjustments, and I am personally very satisfied with the final output.
In fact, for this kind of cosplay combining classical and fantasy styles, the greatest test is whether the character seamlessly integrates with the scene. My partners achieved exquisite fidelity in both makeup and styling, which, combined with subtle post-processing color adjustments, rendered an atmosphere closely matching what I envisioned. Shooting day was actually quite exhausting; hair, makeup, and dressing took considerable time, but spending those extra overtime hours in the studio was truly worthwhile. Seeing these finished photos, all the fatigue melted away—that is probably the purest charm of cosplay.
