[Sorasaki Hina cosplay] Blue Archive: Summer Operation and Giant Firearm Photoshoot - Image 1

This shoot features Sorasaki Hina (Sorasaki Hina cosplay) from Blue Archive. As the Prefect Team's No. 1 combat power, the sheer weight of her weapon truly reflects her commanding status. When I received the prop gun, its weight was unexpected—around a dozen pounds—and combined with the humid heat in the convention venue that day, holding such a massive gun with one hand while posing was physically grueling. The wig was custom long straight white hair, far more demanding to maintain than short styles; in particular, the red markings on both sides of the forehead were meticulously hand-painted using body paint pens to achieve a texture true to the original design. With black horns atop the light-colored wig, the setup set high demands for lighting to prevent unwanted reflections or mesh exposure between strands. The outfit featured a dark halter top paired with a red lanyard and the '5-A' tag, creating sharp color contrasts. During the shoot, I sat on a translucent red water bottle prop primarily to showcase leg contours and balance frame proportions, as the gun was so long that a standing pose would draw away the subject's visual weight. I adopted a slightly detached expression paired with a cold gaze to capture her nonchalant yet formidable presence during the Summer Operation. My nails were coated in red polish to echo the overarching palette. Because the props were oversized, composition required ample breathing room. Though my arms were extremely sore after shooting, the resulting lighting, shadows, and camera angles were deeply satisfying, creating great synergy between the massive purplish-black prop gun and the suspended halo in the background. The costume design set high standards for physical expression. Overall, this was a shoot perfectly aligned with the summer theme, where dedicated prep across costumes, makeup, and props delivered a polished, professional visual effect in Convention photography.
