[Laffey Cosplay] Azur Lane Bunny Girl Photoshoot at the Shenzhen Anime Festival

Shooting this bunny girl styling for Laffey cosplay at the Shenzhen Anime Festival venue was an incredibly fun experience. The lighting on-site was highly complex. To brighten the subject and overpower the ambient light, we used two AD200 flashes paired with the AD-B2 dual-light head accessory as our main light to provide a wide and even output. The fill light was an AD300PRO paired with a Godox 90x90 softbox and grid for precise light control, while a Luxmaster bare bulb flash was used directly as a rim light to outline the edges of the white hair and figure. This gear combination beautifully captured the exceptional reflective texture of the off-the-shoulder white sailor top and the blue patent leather high-cut bodysuit in the frame.

Facing the lens, I held a massive gray plush oxygen tank prop and a pink beverage tray. For the outfit, the large white bunny ears and long twin tails, paired with white stockings and black shoes, created a powerful visual contrast. The little white bunny plushie on my chest and the fuzzy pom-pom elements on the sides of my waist and back further enhanced the cuteness. When standing, the key was to slightly lift one leg, working with the tray pose to elongate the leg lines; when kneeling, the focus shifted to showcasing the glossy characteristics of the patent leather material.

The emphasized rim light in the photography was incredibly brilliant. The Luxmaster bare bulb direct flash cast beautiful highlights on the edges of my hair, which, combined with the circular bokeh background scattered across the venue, gave the photos an excellent depth of field. In such a noisy convention environment, this high-contrast, high-definition output quality particularly brought out the character's three-dimensional presence. Although the cut of this outfit is gorgeous, and the combination of white stockings with the high-cut bodysuit delivers a strong 2D anime vibe, posing comfortably without feeling constrained, standing all day in black high heels was indeed a significant test for my ankles. Fortunately, the photography team worked in perfect harmony; transitioning from light testing to shooting was incredibly fast, and we captured many natural poses—including several shots sitting on a white plush carpet—looking relaxed yet stylish. Overall, under the environment of this summer convention, this blue-and-white bunny girl presentation achieved our expected results. The lighting atmosphere and visual rendering of the final photos left me highly satisfied.
