The character I cosplayed this time is Laffey from Azur Lane, featuring the Bunny girl look I've always wanted to try. The blue-and-white color palette of the overall costume is exceptionally refreshing, and the binding details on the collar and cuffs are highly accurate. In particular, the plush bunny ornament on the chest is super soft and cute. The bunny ear headband accented with a subtle blue bow, paired with a silver-white wig, looks both playful and slightly sleepy and lazy.

For the shoot, I specifically chose a lounge room with purple neon lighting. Combining this cool-toned background with warm facial fill light makes the skin texture look translucent without taking attention away from the costume. To make the overall vibe fit the character, I paired the outfit with White stockings and glossy black high heels; the small bunny accents on the toe tips matched nicely with the accessories on the outfit. For full-body shots, I opted for a seated pose to naturally showcase the extended lines of the legs without looking stiff, and the subtle sheen of the White stockings under the lights was captured perfectly.

The close-up shot captures an interactive moment where I am holding two glasses. The red contact lenses give the eyes more focus, while an orange-tinted lip gloss and light blush were used to emphasize a natural, relaxed state. Since it was an indoor shoot, we adjusted the position of lights and reflectors several times to soften facial shadows while keeping the hair strands clearly outlined. The texture of the bunny ears and wig was also left without excessive retouching in post-production, retaining a few natural stray hairs to look more authentic.

I spent quite a long time preparing this cosplay, repeatedly testing everything from trimming the wig to securing the accessories. Because the bunny ears are quite large, I had to keep an eye on angles during the shoot to prevent them from blocking the light on my face. Choosing the White stockings also took some thought—they needed to avoid excessive glare while remaining flattering. The pair I picked had just the right thickness, and paired with the heels, made the ankle line look clean and sharp. Although maintaining a seated pose was a bit tiring, I am very satisfied with the final atmosphere, which captures Laffey's signature lazy charm without losing overall photographic refinement.

This nightlife-inspired lighting style really tests the photographer's mastery of color temperature; balancing the cool background with warm key lights keeps the shot looking clean. In post-processing, I only slightly adjusted the contrast and skin saturation without heavy alterations, aiming to preserve the colors seen on set. I hope to have the chance to shoot other skins for this character next time, such as a more energetic sporty style, which should be lots of fun too.
