When preparing this Lion cosplay look for the Azur Lane Cool Festival, I focused on researching garment fabrics and the overall color palette. This three-piece white lace Swimsuit cosplay set includes a halter-neck summer bikini top, matching shorts, and a loose cover-up shirt. The fabric features a smooth, lustrous sheen with delicate lace trimming along the edges. To fit the theme of the Azur Lane Cool Festival, I chose gradient red sunglasses resting atop my head as an accessory, serving both as hair decor and adding a vibrant pop of color. For the wig, I selected light flaxen blonde, trimming the bangs and giving the ends subtle inward curls to give the hairstyle more volume and layered dimension.
The shoot location was decorated into an indoor beach party bursting with summer elements. The backdrop primarily featured blue-and-white wave motifs, illuminated neon palm trees, beach chairs, parasols, and oversized 3D block letters. This high-saturation blue-and-white background truly tested the color rendering of the outfit, and the pure white summer bikini stood out perfectly in this setting, making the skin look remarkably fair and clean. I intentionally wore the cover-up shirt half-slid down to my elbows; visually, this preserved a languid, breezy drape while naturally revealing my waistline and collarbones. The white lace shorts paired below visually elongated my proportions. Since full-body photos were being taken, I wore clear lucite-heel sandals; this footwear avoided visually breaking the leg lines, extending calf length beautifully in full-body compositions.
Throughout the shoot, the use of light and shadow was paramount. With background neon tubes and softboxes intertwining, I utilized fill lights to create translucent highlight radiance. For makeup, I opted for warm orange-toned eyeshadow to complement the flaxen hair, brushed natural highlighter across the cheekbones, and chose a glossy, water-shine lip texture so that skin texture appeared especially dewy and translucent under bright lights. As for posing, rather than choosing overly intricate postures, I matched the breezy outfit with relaxed, interactive movements. For instance, raising one hand to lightly touch the sunglasses on my head while letting the shirt slip allowed my shoulder and neck lines to shine; leaning against the block-letter backdrop and slightly popping my hip created an S-curve silhouette; making a heart with both hands at my chest added approachable warmth to the frame. Between takes, I deliberately kept my shoulders and neck relaxed, adjusting my abdominal posture with my breathing to present as natural and lively a character portrayal as possible. This look had no overly cumbersome accessories; it was more a test of capturing the outfit's breezy atmosphere and natural body language. The entire photoshoot revolved around utilizing clean colors, light, and shadow to accentuate the sheer lightness of this swimsuit, and the final results achieved my envisioned refreshing summer style in this Swimsuit cosplay.
