Don't let me get bored—after all, it's all about that charming contrast! As a popular character in Wuthering Waves, her combat form boasts explosive visual impact and wild physical tension, but pulling off that form requires an immense amount of time on props and post-production VFX. Before diving into that, I had always wanted to shoot her default form first. And here it is! After waiting for so long, I finally found the time to bring this casual yet slightly haughty standard look to life.

Let's start with the hair and makeup. The hairstyle is definitely one of the highlights this time. With its iconic two-tone red and black split, the wig was trimmed to have rich layers and great volume. That single black fringe not only frames the face perfectly but also accentuates the character's mysterious and dangerous aura. The black bow accessory on top of her head features a white cross pattern; such small accessories truly test your crafting skills, and wearing it immediately anchored the entire visual balance of the head.

For the costume, a predominantly pure white base is combined with red and black color-blocking. The stand collar and off-the-shoulder design of the top feel very fresh and breezy, while the cut-outs on the chest and abdomen, combined with black and yellow geometric accents, are packed with stylish design. The signature red-and-black symmetrical butterfly/flower tattoo on the chest was the finishing touch of this look—delicately drawn, it creates a striking visual contrast against the white fabric. The black ring, colorful wrist ribbons, and white fingerless gloves also add plenty of richness to the hand styling.

The lower half of the outfit is something many fans of this character will pay close attention to. The white thigh-high stockings/tights are embellished with white petal/lace edge details, paired with grey-and-white color-blocked open-toe platform high-heeled sandals featuring subtle golden accents on the soles. This combination not only accentuates the legs to make them look more slender, but also captures both the cool detachment and refined elegance of the character.

On the day of the shoot, we chose an outdoor casuarina (ironwood) forest. This kind of woods is characterized by dense fallen leaves and branches, tall straight trunks, and crisscrossing boughs. Sunlight filtered through the thick canopy, creating gorgeous dappled light and shadows. Standing among the fallen leaves and scattered fallen logs naturally gives off a dramatic 'wilderness survival' vibe. It matched the character's setting exceptionally well—even without posing deliberately, the interplay of light and shadow gave the photos remarkable depth.

During the shoot, we tried various poses: looking up to stretch in the woods, sitting on fallen trunks gazing into the distance, and reaching out to touch the sunlight. However, when selecting photos, I especially fell in love with that half-squatting side snapshot (the 4th photo). The angle and pose worked wonders: they beautifully framed the petal details on the tights, the open-toe sandals, and the natural curve of the arm, while the camera captured body curves flawlessly. The confident, bright smile also conveyed Camellya's relaxed yet playfully tsundere charm.

In truth, while flashy special effects and massive props offer sheer visual impact, a default outfit closer to the character's daily vibe often reveals more of their true essence. Bringing out that everyday composure, confidence, and subtly fleeting tenderness is an essential task for any dedicated cosplayer. Throughout the shoot, the photographer and support team got bitten by plenty of mosquitoes in the woods, working incredibly hard, but seeing the final photos made every effort worthwhile. This set serves as a cherished keepsake and a fulfilled personal promise.
