This set of cheerleader-style photos actually took a long time to prepare. To faithfully recreate Nekozuka Hibiki's iconic look from Blue Archive (BA), every single detail of the outfit was adjusted repeatedly. The halter crop top in a blue, white, and gray palette featured triangular and diamond color-blocks that weren't simple prints, but individually spliced and tailored according to body proportions to ensure the top stayed form-fitting without slipping during dynamic motions. A wide white choker collar and the blue lanyard strap across the chest enriched the overall layered depth. For the yellow glowing halo and black-and-gray plush ears at the crown, I specifically reinforced their center of gravity with clear nylon fishing line so inertia wouldn't displace them mid-jump. The fluffy white tail prop behind me was secured beneath the pleated skirt via a concealed waistbelt, while the 'MILLENNIUM' lettering along the side of the skirt faithfully recreated the canonical design. On my feet, white platform sneakers not only visually elongated leg proportions, but also provided excellent support and cushioning for mid-air jumps on set.

The shoot took place inside the halls of the Guangzhou Anime Convention, where the ambient lighting was far from ideal. Dense grids of industrial overhead lights beamed straight down, easily casting harsh shadows under the eye sockets and nose. To make the subject pop, I asked the photographer to use a large-aperture lens throughout, leveraging shallow depth of field to completely blur out the cluttered crowd and crisscrossing steel trusses in the background, firmly locking visual focus onto the character. While shooting, I deliberately adjusted my standing spots and facial angles, using diffuse daylight filtering through the venue's windows as natural fill light for my face. Blue contact lenses and the gold star sticker under my left eye proved intensely eye-catching in close-up shots, retaining a clear, translucent skin texture straight out of camera without any cheap, over-smoothed blur.

In terms of pose design, wielding two yellow-and-white cheerleader pom-poms required expansive body language to command the frame. For the seated photo, crossing my legs while keeping my back straight with my center of gravity leaning slightly forward, gazing directly into the lens, allowed me to showcase the details of the platform sneakers while using perspective to elongate the leg contours. Kneeling on one knee with pom-poms hoisted high turned arm definition and midriff skin reveal into the visual core, requiring the pleats of the skirt and the plush tail behind to show just right without looking rigid. To capture the split-second dynamics of the fluttering skirt and flowing hair as I leaped, I jumped up and down on the hard floor over twenty times, constantly refining my power and expression control solely to seize the body's optimal form in mid-air.

For post-processing color grading, we retained the venue's inherent cool tones while emphasizing the high-saturation contrast between the yellow pom-poms and blue costume, giving skin tones a flattering lift. Convention venues are often chaotic and crowded; pulling off a photo set combining both dynamic action and static elegance in such limited space severely tests a photographer's shutter timing and autofocus accuracy. These Convention photos preserve the authentic lighting and tactile depth of the venue, completely conveying the explosive energy and tension of this cheerleader design from garment and prop details to physical posing techniques and on-camera presence in this Nekozuka Hibiki cosplay.
