[Chen Qianyu cosplay] A Day of Savoring Spicy Feasts at the Arknights: Endfield Booth

Hungry is hungry! Bringing Arknights: Endfield's Chen Qianyu to the TapTap Play Festival was incredible—the atmosphere on site was unreal, so I had to document this third wave of Convention photos. This outfit is instantly recognizable from its palette to its micro-details. The top features a teal-blue jacket trimmed with red and black stripes alongside metallic clasps at the collar and chest. To nail that canon techwear vibe, I selected a leather fabric with a subtle sheen for the outerwear. The white inner turtleneck and pale mint-green pleated miniskirt—especially the circuit board and silver mechanical prints along the hem—went through extensive pattern-matching sessions with my tailor. The blue gradient dragon horns and tail are the stylistic soul: the tail features textured black scales transitioning to fiery red fur at the tip, giving the entire ensemble vivid dimensional depth.

To complement the restaurant-themed staging, I deliberately designed poses holding chopsticks and a bowl. Sitting on the red bench, I focused on looking relaxed, as pairing a short skirt with tall boots can easily appear stiff when seated. I leaned my weight back, cradling the bowl in one hand with chopsticks raised in the other, casting a casual glance toward the camera. After the seated shots, I stood up and hooked one bent leg against the booth counter, which better highlighted the black over-the-knee boots and the silver metal rings strapping across the knees while elongating my silhouette. Walking around a convention floor all day in heeled boots takes a physical toll on the feet, but for visual payoff, that exertion was trivial.

The booth set was arranged with immense care, boasting giant restaurant signs, hot pot tables, and classic red stools. Holding that prop bowl of noodles genuinely made me hungry, since rushing to the venue early meant skipping breakfast. Navigating the floor with the tail demanded constant caution to keep it from tangling or getting stepped on, requiring me to hitch it up slightly during turns. Makeup incorporated subtle adjustments today, blending pinkish tones into the eye makeup to harmonize with the garment accents. The photographer kept reminding me to drop my shoulders to avoid stiffness. The life-sized character standees and posters behind were spot-on, making standing beside them feel like stepping through the fourth wall.

The chopsticks and bowl props were carefully sourced—they had to stay featherlight so my wrists wouldn't ache during extended poses. The faux food inside looked remarkably realistic, catching the booth downlights for wonderfully satisfying shots. Throughout the festival, this Game cosplay styling drew tremendous engagement from players and passersby alike. What I love most about cosplaying is interacting with fellow fans: everyone was welcoming, and whenever someone recognized the character and asked for a photo, I answered right in her in-game tone. Looking through the files now, these selected frames captured her cool, commanding edge balanced with playful charm. Though an exhausting day of shooting, seeing the finished Convention photos made all fatigue melt away.
