Cosplaying Genshin Impact's Ganyu in this blue-and-white Bridal cosplay look, the key focus was blending the character's innate ethereal adeptus grace with dreamy bridal romanticism. From unboxing the costume to shooting and post-processing, the entire journey was deeply rewarding—especially given the unexpected weather on shooting day, which surprisingly added a unique texture to the final photos.

First came wig styling. While keeping Ganyu's signature Blue-haired character hairstyle, I reinforced the iconic ahoge at the crown with internal wire to ensure it wouldn't collapse in outdoor breezes. The side bangs framing the face were contoured inward so that after mounting the horns and butterfly hairpins, the facial frame remained slim without appearing bulky. Light blue wigs often lose vibrancy under cloudy natural light; to preserve a translucent blue tone, I thinned out hair strands beforehand and applied hairspray to build distinct visual layering.

For makeup, eye color emphasis was paramount. Since the character features violet pupils, I selected vivid contact lenses with subtle limbal rings, paired with lower eyeshadow and extended lower lashes to evoke an innocent, ethereal gaze. Softened eyebrows, peach-pink blush, and natural rosy lip tints softened the facial impression. This was perhaps the most crucial step—a clean, luminous base makeup provides the essential canvas to support intricate outer accessories.

Looking at the bridal gown itself, the white primary tone severely tests fabric texture and visual depth. Sheer mesh at the chest offers subtle elegance, accented by bells, pearl chains, and blue floral details. To convey airy blue lightness, sleeves and skirt tiers used ultra-thin sheer tulle layered with lace ruffles. Boned corsetry at the waist added restrictiveness during movement, yet sculpted a crisp waistline that paired with the full skirt for a tall silhouette. Headwear included black red-rimmed horns, blue-and-white blossoms, blue butterfly hairpins, and a translucent white veil train to anchor the visual weight on top.

Rain had just fallen on shooting day, leaving the outdoor stone pavement slick and wet; however, water puddles and reflections unexpectedly acted as a sublime natural \"filter.\" Damp ground paired with the blue-and-white skirt formed a deeply serene aesthetic. Due to the rain and restricted venue conditions, we completed shooting quickly in an open space near the convention hall. The red-and-white barrier tape occasionally peeking into frame serves as an authentic record of the day's convention atmosphere—left unedited to preserve real event vibes in these Convention photos.

For posing design, I tailored movements to highlight the gown's ethereal elegance. For instance, in one frame holding white roses and ribbon bouquets while slightly bowing my head, the angle showcases the delicate collarbone necklace while projecting gentle modesty; in another close-up photo posing with a peace sign, I wanted to inject playful personal warmth into the distant aesthetic, bridging the distance to the camera lens. The bouquet featured white roses and foliage, echoing the white gown while wide white ribbon bows enhanced decorative appeal.

Wearing this entire ensemble was quite heavy—partly due to the wig and headpiece weight, and partly from corsetry, layered skirt tiers, and long veils. Shooting in cold, rainy weather tested expression control and body flexibility to avoid stiffness. Yet I am deeply in love with the final visual presentation: the sheer fabric flows gracefully with every step, and that dreamlike touch of blue perfectly freezes the distant grace of Liyue's Adeptus alongside bridal romance.
