【Texas cosplay】Interpreting the Arknights Rivalry on the Same Stage with Lappland - Image 1

Sharing this set of official Arknights Texas cosplay and Lappland cosplay photos. The main thought when shooting these photos was how to highlight the mobster texture of Siracusa against a modern glass curtain wall backdrop. To restore the coldness of the character Texas, I adjusted the range and depth of red eyeshadow, paired with red color contacts, trying to convey that dangerous aura through my gaze. In terms of costume, the red shirt and dark striped tie are the core, layered with a stiff black leather jacket, which is warm overall and easy to pose in. The lower body features a black striped mini skirt and black thigh garters; to match these accessories, I specifically adjusted my standing posture to better flatter the leg lines. Managing the wig also took quite some effort; the straight black hair needed to maintain a certain drape without blocking the eyes. During makeup, I specially secured the beast ears on top firmly to ensure they wouldn't tilt during the shoot. Lappland's styling is even more flamboyant. The white hair paired with fluffy white ears, blue-gray eyes with red markings on the face—this slightly yandere and wild makeup and styling paired with a long black coat was very imposing. Under the coat, she wore a white shirt with an open collar, paired with gold chains and a black mini skirt, while the silver buttons and subtle patterns enhanced the high-end feel. From the back, her tail and thigh garters were also meticulously coordinated. When preparing this outfit, I had to consider not only visual restoration but also the ease of movement. Although the black leather jacket looks very handsome, it is indeed a bit heavy, so I tried my best to stand tall when posing. During the shoot, our positions had a staggered depth, one in front and one behind. Texas stood in front with a defensive and cold posture; Lappland was in the back with an offensive and casual stance. We attempted to recreate that feeling from the original work of being both rivals and sharing a certain tacit understanding. The lighting on set was better than expected; the greenery outside created a cool-toned palette after being blurred, and the soft light from the overcast sky happened to prevent shadows from being too harsh, showcasing the texture of the leather jacket nicely. I am quite satisfied with the composition of this shoot—the depth of field in both foreground and background made the main subjects stand out prominently while avoiding interference from large areas of glass reflections. To capture the best angles, the photographer used a focal length between roughly 50mm and 85mm, which not only ensured the three-dimensional depth of the portraits but also separated the depth relationship of the background. This set of cosplay photos showcases two characters with drastically contrasting personalities. In post-processing, we mainly used slight cool tones to make the images look colder and crisper, preserving shadow details as much as possible to prevent black clothing from turning into an indistinct blob. Because there were many black elements on the characters, lighting control became especially vital, particularly finding the right bounce board positions to brighten the edges of the black leather jackets to capture the layered texture of the leather. Although the entire process took a long time to shoot, everyone maintained great condition, constantly adjusting eye contact, facial expressions, and positioning. Shooting dual characters tests chemistry the most; if one side falls out of sync, we have to start over. Fortunately, the final result reached our expected goals. During the shoot, we also discussed the characters' personalities together: Texas is more introverted while Lappland is more extroverted, and this personality difference naturally reflected in our gazes and micro-expressions. Being able to successfully produce this set is thanks to the efforts of every participant on the team; only by restoring characters with heart can we deliver a better visual experience. Regarding costume details, we spent a lot of effort selecting suitable accessories, such as the thickness of necklaces, the placement of thigh garters, and tie patterns, solely to give the costumes more texture. This shooting experience gave me a deeper understanding of the characters in Arknights. These photos carry our dedication, and we hope everyone enjoys the sense of storytelling we presented in this shoot. We also tried many different poses on set and, after comparing various silhouettes, ultimately chose this one for showcase. The black-and-red Texas and black-and-white Lappland, enhanced by the thigh garters, truly look packed with the arch-rival atmosphere of the Twin wolves overall.
