This post logs the completed Lappland cosplay makeup, focusing mainly on the breakdown of how to execute this Fox eye makeup. Since I naturally have more masculine, structured facial features, I made numerous adjustments and sculpting techniques in makeup and styling.
First is eyebrow blocking. My natural eyebrows are quite thick and flat, so I had to use dedicated eyebrow glue to flatten the brow hairs against their grain, layer concealer over them, and set with loose powder once dry, making the original shape completely invisible. Next, using an ultra-fine brow pencil, I drew slender, slightly arched new eyebrows to match Lappland's fierce, sharp temperament.
The eye area is the top priority. Being naturally monolidded, I applied crescent-shaped double eyelid tape to create wide, defined creases. For eyeshadow, I selected reddish-brown tones, blending broadly across the entire eye socket and lower eyelid area. The essence of Fox eye makeup lies in the eyeliner and the lower lashline drop. I used dark brown eyeshadow to trace a lower lashline contour along the tear trough, then highlighted the sclera area to give the gaze deep dimension. Afterward, using a liquid eyeliner pen, I drew elongated lines, sharpening the inner corners forward and dramatically winging the outer corners upward with a subtle flick back to enhance aggressiveness.
For the lower lashes, falsies aren't ideal, so I drew them in cluster by cluster using an ultra-fine waterproof eyeliner pen, alternating between long and short strokes—instantly enlarging the eyes. The red scar was outlined with a liquid eyeliner pen, then buffed with red eyeshadow along the edges to create a realistic, 3D textured look of scratches and dried blood. Gray colored contacts were chosen to enhance the cold intensity in the gaze.
For the cheeks, a male jawline tends to be wider, requiring heavy, deliberate contouring. I swept gray-brown contour powder beneath the cheekbones and along the jawline, carving out a sharp shadow line. Nose contouring was drawn straight down from the brow heads along the nasal bridge, followed by precise highlighters on the bridge, tip, radix, and chin to make the face appear sharp, sculpted, and compact. For lips, since mine are somewhat wide, I concealed the mouth corners first, applied an orange-red lip tint to the center, and blended outward with a cotton swab for a smaller lip silhouette.
The long white wig was somewhat dry in texture, requiring hair care oil treatment. During styling, I curled the bangs with a curling wand into bold arcs, then sculpted sharp, messy spikes with hair wax cluster by cluster; combined with the wolf ears atop this White hair animal ears wig, it looks fluffy yet exudes feral energy.
For the outfit, I coordinated a black jacket, white shirt, black tie, metallic chains, and a skull necklace—the black-and-white color block is richly textured, contrasting sharply with the white hair. Looking at the before-and-after photos, my originally rugged masculine features were completely transformed into a cold, refined style. This session focused on eye enlargement techniques and 2D anime facial reshaping; although the process was intricate, the resulting clean and complete look faithfully mirrored the character's aura. It was a fascinating Male cosplay experience, and I look forward to challenging other makeup styles next time.
