[La Pluma cosplay] Arknights Rafaela Summer Film Swimsuit Photoshoot

Today I want to share the Arknights Rafaela summer Swimsuit photos shot at the outdoor pool. I chose this location because the sunlight was exceptionally good, the water was very blue, and the light hitting the light blue semi-transparent outer garment had a great texture. For this shoot, I prepared two swim ring props in advance—one yellow and one transparent—along with that frequently appearing white megaphone.
This outfit belongs to the Summer Flowers series. The inner wear is a white halter bikini, layered with a short outer garment of a similar tone, and the lower wear is white shorts with strap designs. To fit the character, I specially trimmed the layers of my wig, tied yellow flower ornaments on both sides, and added a white feather hair accessory on top of the head. In terms of makeup, it mainly emphasized eyeshadow smudging and red-brown contact lenses, hoping to create Rafaela's slightly mysterious and detached feel.
Actually, shooting by the pool was not easy. Because I was wearing platform sandals, I had to be extra careful walking on the wet and slippery tiles. Moreover, the midday sun was extremely glaring. To capture the details of the gaze, I had to endure the soreness of my eyes and try my best to keep my expression relaxed. When holding the megaphone, I would silently recite some lines in my heart, which made the actions look more natural rather than like deliberate posing.
What impressed me the most were those shots sitting on the transparent swim ring. Because the swim ring was inflated and placed in the water, the center of gravity was extremely unstable. I needed to tighten my core without any support, struggling to maintain a sitting posture while ensuring the leg lines were stretched out. The reflection of the water surface combined with direct sunlight made the sensible temperature at the shooting site very high, and my back started sweating in no time. Fortunately, the effect of the final photos was fantastic; through the semi-transparent outer garment, shimmering reflections on the water surface could be seen, a kind of natural light and shadow that is hard to simulate in a studio shoot.
Hairstyle and makeup also faced tests under high temperatures. Every once in a while, I would gently press my face with a tissue to absorb excess oil, while using setting spray to keep the makeup from patching. The wig also needed to be combed at any time to prevent moisture from making the hair frizzy. The whole process required constant touch-ups and adjustments to the costume details, striving to present the best state in every single photo.
During the shooting process, I also communicated many thoughts about composition with the photographer. For instance, using the metal handrail by the pool as a frame, or utilizing water surface reflection to increase the layering of the frame. To make the legs look slender, the shooting angles were also adjusted many times. From noon to evening, the light changed from strong direct sunlight to a soft golden sunset, and we seized the opportunity to capture quite a few satisfying frames.
Being able to shoot a Rafaela Swimsuit outdoor location set this time counts as a very interesting attempt. It's not just a change in costume, but also felt very different from regular daily wear in terms of shooting state. I hope this set of photos can bring a trace of coolness to everyone this summer.
