[Lebel cosplay] Goddess of Victory: Nikke dark style blockbuster, immersive photo shoot under purple light checkerboard

Shooting this Lebel cosplay photoset required a lot of thought from makeup and styling to set design. To restore the character's traits of being somewhat aloof and mysterious, a lot of time was spent handling the wig. The long straight black hair with purple highlights looked exceptionally realistic under the top light and the purple neon light hitting from the side. The iconic ahoge on top of the head was also specially styled to ensure it stood upright in front of the lens, adding a bit of character fun and recognition. The glasses are the soul accessory of this styling; the large black-rimmed glasses not only modify the face shape but also make the gaze look more focused. In terms of makeup, the base was kept quite clean, with emphasis on the eye contouring. Without using overly heavy eyeshadow, it relied mainly on eyelashes and eyeliner for definition, and a natural-red lip color was chosen, trying to find a balance between a cold look and a tiny bit of everyday feel.

The outfit consists of a black thin-strapped camisole with a split long-sleeved pullover worn over it. This pairing visually accentuates the figure, fully exposing the lines of the shoulders and collarbone, while the long sleeves retain the conservative side of the character. To make the visual proportion of the chest look better, I adjusted my undergarment before the shoot to ensure naturalness and a three-dimensional feel in front of the lens. The lower body is black pants with a brown belt, carrying a hint of utility or techwear feel.

The arrangement of the shooting location matched the theme extremely well. The black-and-white checkered floor, coupled with dark red curtains and wooden furniture, set the tone of the entire photoset to retro and mysterious. To enhance the atmosphere, the photographer used a large number of purple-red color gels in the lighting setup. This kind of light easily makes the frame look muddy, so during the shoot, I paid special attention to face orientation and the use of reflectors to ensure the light formed soft highlights on the skin rather than messy color blocks.

The props prepared this time were also very interesting. That black hot-stamped hardcover book and the gray rabbit plushie served, respectively, to increase the sense of mystery and add a contrasting cuteness element. When shooting sitting poses, I placed the book on my lap and opened it, looking towards the lens, or held the book up to cover half of my face, and the photographer captured many close-ups. My favorite is the one in picture 2, where I hold the book in one hand, slightly open the other hand, and look sideways towards the lens; this composition wonderfully showcases the character's curves. The skull model placed on the tabletop, along with that little mushroom figurine, matched with the low-key lighting, added a lot of eerie yet charming storytelling to the frame. To achieve great results, I tried various poses, such as sitting on a chair with legs crossed, or simply sitting cross-legged on the floor with books scattered around, creating an atmosphere of reading in a dim study. The entire shooting process was physically demanding, especially when striking poses on the ground, having to balance avoiding wardrobe malfunctions and stretching the physique, but seeing the light-and-shadow texture and character atmosphere in the final photos, all these efforts were completely worth it.
