This outdoor location shoot was chosen in a dense bamboo forest, seeking the most natural home for the character Murasame. The dappled light and shadow cast by the sun through the bamboo leaves perfectly fit the character's slightly mysterious yet cool traits. In terms of costume, the classic purple-and-black gradient paired with a striking orange-red belt and long streamers dancing in the wind made the overall color scheme pop in the green environment without looking out of place. The wig was specially restyled to adjust the bangs and sideburns to better match the character design, ensuring that that sense of lightness was maintained at every moment of bowing or turning around. The oil-paper umbrella with a white base adorned with small patterns was a very important prop this time. When opened, it revealed a soft texture under the light, and its long tassels draped casually in the air, just right to break up the constraint brought by the vertical lines of the bamboo forest in the frame.

During the shoot, controlling the light was exceptionally critical. The photographer used a reflector to accurately fill in light amidst the dappled shadows, which not only preserved the layers of shade in the woods but also made the facial skin tone look translucent and delicate. To accommodate Murasame's barefoot characteristic, sharp gravel was specifically avoided during the shoot. Standing on the soft fallen leaves and soil, I repeatedly adjusted my stance and center of gravity to make movements like standing on one leg or turning back while holding the umbrella look completely effortless. For the sitting positions, I intentionally chose to place a folding chair on the ground covered with fallen leaves, letting my body extend into a relaxed arch shape to capture those natural moments of interaction.

Although the weather was somewhat humid and the wig and streamers easily got tangled, it was exactly this quiet and slightly wild atmosphere in the bamboo forest that allowed Murasame's refined temperament to be revealed. Through a series of shutter captures, instead of intentionally striking exaggerated poses, we tried to capture the character's unique state of being sleepy-eyed, slightly lazy, yet full of aura, completely preserving this experience in the bamboo forest in front of the lens.
