[Sunna cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero mint green twintails and pink leg warmers styling

Today in the studio shooting Sunna from Zenless Zone Zero, the layering of this outfit is much richer than expected. First of all, let's talk about the wig. To achieve a fluffy and wavy effect for the mint green twintails, it needed to be styled with hair wax and setting spray for a long time in advance. Those uniquely shaped hairpin decorations on top of the head, including cat ears, hearts, and small game console style ornaments, required repeated adjustments to ensure they didn't reflect light from various angles in front of the lens. The bangs were intentionally trimmed rather neat, which, paired with the twintails, flatters the face shape very well.

In terms of clothing, a white short-sleeved shirt is paired with a red tie featuring a star pattern, and the small decorations on the tie have a great sense of detail. The black fluffy skirt hem of the lower body needs to be carefully arranged to display the layers as much as possible. The leg coordination is the highlight of the entire styling: white stockings plus pink-and-white thick-knit leg warmers, which greatly flatter the leg shape. The straps of the leg garters also need to be adjusted to a suitable tightness to avoid leaving marks, and the pink straps and green bow on the thigh are not only decorations but also increase visual three-dimensionality. Although the pink platform shoes on the feet can elongate the leg lines very well, standing for a long time really tests ankle stability, so I tried to lean against props to rest during breaks between changing poses.

For the makeup part, to match the character's sweet style, relatively exaggerated false eyelashes and contact lenses were used to enlarge the eyes, and freckles were intentionally dotted on the cheeks to add a playful feel. The black choker on the neck is an indispensable accent. The pink-and-white megaphone prop in hand is a highlight; the green bow and small decorations on it were glued on bit by bit by myself. It actually has some weight when held in hand, and holding it up all the time during shooting really makes the arms sore. The white wings prop on the back also requires special attention when adjusting its position. When sitting on the ground taking mirror selfies, the skirt hem must be smoothed out first to avoid sitting on the wings, while also paying attention to the body's center of gravity to make the overall posture look more natural and relaxed.

The shooting environment this time was in front of a white wall and a white cylindrical exhibition stand. Since the background is very clean, the character's colors and prop details became the core of the frame. To restore the colors of the costume, the main light and side fill lights in the studio were adjusted, making the mint green wig and pink accessories look very textured under this light. Since it was a mirror selfie with a mobile phone, the face would be blocked, which required rich enough body language. I tried different angles of sitting and standing postures; the sitting posture can better display the leg lines and the texture of the stockings, while standing utilizes the height-increasing effect of the platform shoes to make the overall proportions slimmer.

Overall, the color coordination of this styling is very unified; the combination of mint green, pink, and white is visually very comfortable, plus the black skirt hem and choker acting as color suppressors, presenting a balanced sense of sweet and cool. Although wearing and organizing these props and accessories took quite a bit of time, seeing these details fully recorded in front of the lens makes all the expended energy feel worthwhile.
