This shoot brought to life Sunna from Zenless Zone Zero by a residential pool. The outfit centered on a black one-piece swimsuit, pink-and-white striped sleeve covers, and a backpack with pink straps. Sourcing a well-fitting swimsuit took time, as the cut and logo placement demanded precision. The striped sleeves were acquired separately; these arm-warmer style pieces slipped on effortlessly while flattering the arms. Because the backpack could easily get wet, I applied waterproof tape to moisture-prone seams as a precaution.

For hair and makeup, I styled a silver-white wig into a side ponytail, trimming the bangs carefully to sit beneath the tiny black triangular forehead accessory. Securing the mint-green hairpiece in the poolside breeze required both bobby pins and heavy-hold spray. Large-diameter light green lenses gave the eyes a translucent depth, while soft pink blush swept across the cheeks and eyelids imparted a lovely, sun-flushed glow.

Working closely with the photographer, our first shot was seated on a white platform with legs extended and my left hand shielding the sun—a framing that balanced the shot while accentuating proportions. Next, I shifted to a side-seated pose letting my feet dangle into the water, kicking up gentle splashes to introduce dynamic energy. A reflector softened harsh midday overhead shadows, keeping skin tones luminous. Post-processing cooled the warm ambient tones, blurred background greenery and buildings with wide-aperture falloff, and subtly refined leg shadows while preserving natural skin textures. Capturing the crisp water droplets at high shutter speeds and tuning perspective angles resulted in an airy, refreshing set that captured the character's poolside charm.
