This photo set was captured by an outdoor swimming pool. To match the summer ambiance, the overall visual embraced a crisp and refreshing color palette. My coordinate featured shoulder-length pink hair (Pink wig) topped with a white lace headband and accented on both sides with blue-purple ribbons. The outfit consisted of a halter-neck chiffon dress with a white, blue, and purple gradient, featuring a teardrop cut-out at the chest, sheer flowing streamers cascading from the neckline, and a translucent mini skirt on the bottom. The most striking element was the pair of white Feathered wings props on my back. To secure them outdoors, I concealed the harness straps inside the garment, ensuring the transition between my shoulders and the wings looked as seamless and natural as possible.

On the day of the shoot, the sun was blazing, and reflections off the water were intensely bright. To capture nuanced catchlights in my eyes, the photographer continually adjusted angles and used reflectors to bounce fill light onto my face, avoiding harsh, deep shadows. The first shot was taken kneeling on the tiled poolside deck, leaning forward with one hand reaching toward the camera while the other stretched back. This pose required significant core strength to sustain balance while ensuring the wings behind me wouldn't warp from excessive body movement. The chiffon dress took on an ethereal translucent glow under the direct sunlight, interplaying with the ripples on the water to reveal intricate textures.

The second shot captured me sitting along the edge of the pool, legs curled and crossed, with bare feet dangling suspended over the shimmering water. This pose felt more relaxed, beautifully accentuating the layered ruffles of the dress and the lines of my legs. Turning slightly sideways allowed the warm sunlight to rim the contours of my body. For eye makeup, I selected reddish-pink contact lenses paired with dense, defined lashes to make my gaze appear radiant and expressive. The wig displayed vivid saturation in the sun, though breezy gusts frequently ruffled the strands, requiring constant touch-ups between shutter clicks.

For pose design, I focused on maintaining an airy, weightless aesthetic. Although the wing props weren't excessively heavy, sustaining their spread-out angle across an extended session gradually took a physical toll. Stepping barefoot into the water added vivacity to the composition, as gentle ripples enhanced dynamic fluidity. The poolside also featured charming ambient accents—like a panda swim ring and a yellow duck pedal boat floating in the distance—which, though not center stage, contributed a breezy vacation charm to the backdrop.

The entire shoot spanned several hours. From wardrobe styling and wing harnessing in pre-production to refining every single pose, total concentration was essential throughout. In post-processing, the color grade heightened the contrast between cool blues and soft purples while preserving the luminous transparency of natural sunlight. Without complicated narrative setups, this series aimed to evoke a clean, serene, and revitalizing visual sensation purely through light, shadow, and nuanced body language in Cosplay photography. I hope everyone enjoys this rendition of Remielle cosplay.
