I rewatched the first season of Himouto! Umaru-chan, and her willingness to lower all standards just to drink cola, eat snacks, and play games resonates so strongly with my homebody traits. This time, I decided to do a Doma Umaru cosplay photography set to completely capture that lazy yet cute daily home life vibe. For props, I prepared a large bottle of cola, green-packaged chips, a handheld console, and a blue-and-white plushie with a pouting expression. The photoshoot was really fun, posing in various slouched and collapsed positions across the bed and cooling mat within a confined space. For lighting, we used strong warm afternoon sunlight casting long shadows on the wall, creating an authentic feel of lounging at home in the afternoon. For makeup, distinct false eyelashes and circle lenses combined with long orange-gold hair made the eyes look lively. The centerpiece outfit is the orange hooded cloak over a white T-shirt and pink shorts. I tried various poses—sitting on the floor eating, hugging the giant drink bottle, and lying on the cooling mat with legs up playing games—to showcase the character's relaxed charm through this Himouto! Umaru-chan cosplay. It was physically demanding: for instance, propping up my upper body while lying on the mat, managing facial expressions, and holding the handheld steady to convey genuine relaxed immersion in the game. The cola shots required tilting my head back while avoiding harsh bottle glare. Among the whole set, my favorite is lying on the cooling mat with legs casually raised, capturing the character's laid-back state while highlighting body contours, nicely balancing homebody laziness with subtle character allure.
