[Remilia cosplay] Touhou Project Vampire Lord: Dark Gothic Elegance

Bringing to life Remilia Scarlet from Touhou Project, this cosplay shoot was dedicated to capturing the regal vampire lord renowned for her ability to manipulate fate, demanding extensive care across wardrobe craftsmanship and prop design. The coordinate features a crimson-and-black gothic Lolita silhouette, with tiered cake skirt layers embellished by intricate lace and cascading ruffles. The neckline pairs pristine white lace with a ruby pendant choker, offset by black off-the-shoulder puff sleeves, while the sculpted black bat wings affixed to the back cement her iconic vampiric identity. The headpiece—a wide-brim mob cap—is likewise lavished with ruffled black lace and gather detailing.

In terms of makeup, to evoke the translucent pallor of an aristocratic vampire, the foundation was applied with porcelain porcelain-white coverage. The eye makeup combined vivid crimson cosmetic lenses with deep ruby-wine shadows, projecting an aloof, enigmatic intensity. The wig was cut into light blue textured layers with natural movement. For legwear, I selected sheer black Stockings accented with delicate spiderweb and heart motifs, finished with crimson platform strap heels to visually elongate the silhouette. The crimson spear (Gungnir) served as the primary visual anchor; during the shoot, we deliberately composed wide diagonal framings to maximize structural drama and kinetic presence.

Our shooting venue was an indoor studio set featuring an antique fireplace and carved vintage mirrors, flooded with muted, dark violet ambient lighting to sculpt an opulent gothic atmosphere. The first setup utilized a seated pose on a chair draped in black lace tablecloth, while the second transitioned to a standing posture with one leg gracefully raised, allowing the ruffled hemline and sculpted bat wings to unfurl with commanding tension. In embodying this persona, the goal was to strike a delicate balance between the absolute majesty of a vampire lord and the delicate refinement of a gothic maiden.

From initial fittings to the final selects, donning these weighty, intricate props and multi-layered garments was undeniably exhausting, yet seeing the finished captures made every moment worthwhile.
