For this round of convention photos at the World Line ACG Expo, we chose a setting framed by monumental structural pillars and a vast glass curtain wall. The floor had just been mopped, leaving a sheer sheen of water whose specular reflection seemed tailor-made for this coordinate. From custom fabrication to the final fitting, this ensemble underwent numerous alterations: the chest cutout pattern had to contour cleanly to skin tone, the white embroidery along the skirt hem demanded dimensional texture, and the black feathers at the cuffs were re-anchored to prevent shedding during dynamic posing. The wig was trimmed to a precise jaw-skimming bob, paired with the iconic black headband and cool-toned eye makeup to channel a lethal, combat-ready focus.

The shooting process itself was far more grueling than it appears in the final frames. Although the greatsword was exquisitely crafted with an authentic metallic sheen, it carried considerable heft. It looks effortless in the pictures, but lifting it one-handed or holding a fixed combat posture for even a few seconds quickly strained my forearm and shoulder. The deep lunge squat with the sword raised overhead was especially taxing—holding my center of gravity demanded intense leg muscle engagement while keeping my facial expression serene and controlled, leaving me drenched in sweat after each sequence. To showcase the intricate tailoring—specifically the interplay between the high-slit skirt, black garter Stockings, and over-the-knee leather boots—we continually fine-tuned our framing angles to elongate leg lines, prevent wardrobe slips, and capture crisp highlights bouncing off the black leather boots.

Among the three selects, the single-knee kneel with an extended leg remains my personal favorite. The three-quarters profile not only emphasizes natural waistline curves but also maximizes the proportion of the boots and legs; combined with the ground reflection, it instantly adds architectural depth and perspective. The double-knee kneeling pose, while appearing static, involved gripping the sword upright before me, requiring a rigidly straight back to avoid looking slouched. The final low-lunging crouch was the most explosive: sinking the center of gravity, pointing the blade skyward, and projecting an ice-cold, piercing gaze. Navigating constant convention foot traffic meant seizing narrow windows between passersby while being vigilant that no one stepped on the trailing hem.

Given the predominantly cool color palette, I coordinated closely with the photographer during post-production to preserve the cool-gray atmosphere, accentuating the blacks and silvers while avoiding excessive skin-smoothing to keep the authentic texture of the fabrics and skin. Walking the convention floor all day in heeled boots was exhausting, but this blend of sharp combat poise and understated sensuality translated wonderfully on camera, fully unlocking the character's aloof demeanor. In between takes, the greatsword prop required gentle handling to avoid chipping the lacquer on its delicate hilt and blade carvings. The entire shoot was a test of both physical stamina and expressive nuance, yet seeing the studio strobes and floor reflections converge so seamlessly made every ounce of sweat and muscle ache completely worthwhile. The magic of live convention photography lies in capturing raw, authentic character tension within finite space and light. From garment tailoring to postural tension and exploiting ambient lighting, every element must be carefully polished to deliver visual impact while balancing the character's signature cool elegance and allure.
