Rem's swimsuit look actually hides a lot of details inside, and I fully felt the summer poolside atmosphere while shooting this set of photos. This sailor-style swimsuit is quite different from the clothing styles I've worn before; it strips away the heaviness of the maid outfit and replaces it with much lighter and more breathable materials, making it feel completely free of constraint when worn. The pink bow on the blue sailor hat is an important element for recreating Rem's character hairstyle. To keep its three-dimensional shape, I specifically made several micro-adjustments using styling spray and soft iron wire before the shoot, ensuring it stays cute from every angle. Actually, for the wig color, I intentionally chose a blue with a bit of luster. Under natural light or the diffuse reflection environment by the pool, the hair color displays rich layering, rather than being a flat, rigid blue.

Speaking of the scene, the shooting atmosphere of this set is relaxed yet carries a touch of liveliness. Although set by the pool, I didn't perform any particularly exaggerated movements, but instead hoped that my gaze and hand gestures could convey Rem's personality—usually soft-spoken on the outside but actually very passionate on the inside. The shot of sitting on the bed was actually intended to infuse the frame with a more cozy, everyday slice-of-life feel. The design of the clothing is also highly ingenious; the white semi-transparent top combined with blue piping perfectly fits the refreshing vibe of summer, while the bright red-and-yellow neckerchief at the collar serves as the visual focus of the entire outfit, neutralizing the monotony of the blue-and-white color scheme.

When shooting this set of photos, I actually intentionally emphasized the balance between the costume's practicality and its aesthetic appeal. Because cosplay isn't just about putting on clothes; one must also be able to move freely within the scene. In particular, choosing to appear barefoot below is also a projection of the character's personality—she isn't overly bound by those tedious rules. Arranging the costume and testing the lights took nearly an hour, but the actual process of pressing the shutter was incredibly smooth, and we quickly captured all the frames we wanted. Every time I see such a light-hearted theme, I feel like I've found a new way suitable for expressing the character. A great cosplay work often requires investing energy into costume accuracy, expressions, and atmosphere. Although the range of motion in this set wasn't large, I feel the temperament presented is exactly the vibe I wanted. It fits this summer theme beautifully, capturing a refreshing, fleeting moment belonging to Rem in this summer manga adaptation project.
