Getting straight into the experience of shooting this Rem angel outfit at the iJoy convention: the white ruffled minidress uses lightweight material, but because of the multiple cascading layers, guiding the hem during movement was essential to prevent it from tangling. The white feathered wings on my back were the visual centerpiece; their well-engineered harness structure prevented excessive shoulder strain, though spinning required mindful center-of-gravity control. To embrace the angelic theme, I stood barefoot throughout the shoot atop a plush round pedestal—soft to the touch, yet slightly slippery over time, requiring toe engagement for stability. For the single-leg standing pose in the first shot, keeping bodily balance and clean lines demanded tight core engagement, taking numerous frames to capture the ideal take.
The venue was an expansive hall with steel framework and high-contrast lighting. Photographer @TanKaoYouYu used a wide aperture to blur the background, filtering out convention clutter while highlighting the cool, pure contrast between the white feathers and blue hair. Hand accessories included white lace wrist cuffs and an overhead floating halo secured with transparent monofilament line. Going without stockings accentuated the pure, ethereal aesthetic of the angel look. The feathers caught gorgeous ambient highlights under the spotlights, turning this convention photography session into a clean, immensely enjoyable experience.
