Sharing this specially customized Christmas Rem finished photoset. This time, Beijing photographer Boluopi specially built a highly atmospheric indoor Christmas scene, utilizing an overall red and white coordination paired with warm yellow fireplace light. For the styling this time, based on Rem's classic blue short hair, a crown headpiece with star and heart details was added, and the iconic pink hairclip on the side naturally couldn't be left out.
To fit the Christmas cosplay theme, the costume underwent some brand-new designs. The upper body is made of white lace material paired with a fluffy collar, and the large red-and-white striped bow in front of the collar serves as an excellent visual focus. Attached to the back is a pair of small white feathered angel costume wings, adding a touch of holiness and playfulness to a character originally leaning toward a combat or maid setting. The lower hem is a classic red multi-layered pleated short skirt, with the belt section adorned with a green bow with gold thread, while long white gloves were chosen to display a more lustrous texture in front of the lens. During the planning stage of this shoot, I decided to modify Rem's original maid outfit by adding three Christmas colors: red, green, and gold. The neck and arms covered in white fluff, as well as the red-and-white striped leg warmers at the skirt hem, were all coordination adjustments made with the winter chill in mind. When actually putting on the outfit, thanks to the indoor heating and fireplace light source, it didn't feel cold at all. The weight of the feather wings was controlled just right, without placing too much burden on the shoulders.
The concept during shooting was very clear, using 'a warm Christmas Eve' as the story background. The set was arranged with one large and one small Teddy bear plushies. I intentionally picked up that golden flower bouquet prop and sat in front of the fireplace with the large Teddy bear, just like a little elf waiting for Santa Claus to arrive. Throughout the shooting process, the photographer paid close attention to controlling the highlights of the fireplace flames and the colored lights on the Christmas tree, keeping the entire color keynote on a cozy and dreamy boundary.
A lot of thought was also put into the prop coordination this time, with nutcrackers, pinecones, green woven vines, and color-unified gift boxes making the frame look richer. In terms of expression control, it leaned more toward a natural state, slightly smiling yet without losing the quiet temperament inherent to the character herself. Although there weren't many large-scale movements, the composition of the photoset was enriched through variations in half-kneeling, side profiles, and hand flower-holding poses.
The overall post-processing did not undergo too many exaggerated edits, but rather preserved plenty of skin and costume texture details, giving the photos more of a photographic artwork texture. This costume has many fashion accessories; for example, the footwear consists of red patent leather high heels, forming a powerful color contrast with the white socks. It would be wonderful if this could provide some winter styling inspiration for friends who love anime character cosplay or Christmas-themed photography. That's all for this sharing, and I hope everyone likes this fireplace atmosphere Christmas Rem finished photoset.
