Happy 520! Sharing this cosplay photoshoot as Emilia, taken in a vintage piano room. The setting was chosen in a classical interior space where the natural-wood vintage piano and white lace tablecloth matched my outfit's color scheme perfectly, accentuating Emilia's pure and somewhat dreamy aura. During shooting, special attention was paid to light reflections—the silver-white wig showed off a fantastic texture under soft lighting.
For styling, I prepared detailed hair and makeup: long silver hair paired with Elf ears cosplay, combined with vivid blue contacts to give the gaze a crystal-clear appearance. In terms of costume, the centerpiece is a white-and-purple dress; the bodice design with purple line accents truly tests tailoring, and seated posture required care during shooting to ensure natural skirt draping. The wide sleeves featuring purple lace trim just needed to avoid obstructing the face while shooting. On the legs, I wore over-the-knee white stockings (White tights cosplay), whose purple borders and star accents made them very recognizable. To enhance compositional balance, I held a gray plush bunny, which softened body postures while centering the overall framing so it wouldn't look monotonous.
This photo set used a wide aperture to blur the background piano and light from the window, keeping the visual focus entirely on me, which aligns with my understanding of the character in Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-—she is elegant and tranquil. Throughout the shoot, I experimented with various angles, such as sitting sideways on the piano bench or gently bowing my head while hugging the plushie. In terms of composition and framing, I aimed to convey an aura blending nobility and tenderness. The overall white-and-purple color palette looked exceptionally clean against the dark wood grain, and the over-the-knee white stockings nicely elongated the leg lines. While such details might go unnoticed in daily life, quality costumes, makeup, and props dramatically elevate expressiveness in front of the lens. Though the outfit is gorgeous, dressing and managing it is somewhat tedious—especially preventing creases when sitting down. Still, seeing the final shots made all the effort worthwhile, leaving behind wonderful memories. That wraps up this Cosplay photography experience.
