[Rem Cosplay] Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-: A Sailor Suit Girl's Park Stroll

The tone for this shoot was pure daily style, so I specially chose a quiet park on a weekend and prepared a sailor suit fanon look I personally love for my Rem cosplay. To fit a schoolgirl's relaxed vibe, we put thought into the outfit: a classic white sailor suit top with a navy blue collar decorated with two white stripes, paired with a matching dark blue pleated skirt and a pop of vibrant red necktie. For the hairstyle, I used an ice-blue short wig with a pink hairclip on the left side, along with light blue contact lenses, aiming for clean and fresh makeup to match her cool yet gentle demeanor. Set on the way to or from school, I chose pure white mid-calf socks paired with platform brown loafers, creating a very daily and lively student atmosphere.

The photographer was truly thoughtful, preparing a variety of props in different styles to enrich the visual frame. We started with a transparent long-handled umbrella; holding the umbrella softened even overcast daylight, with hazy light filtering through the canopy onto my face for a peaceful setting. Next came white over-ear headphones; to convey an immersed feeling, I sat on a wooden bench, holding the headphones with a relaxed gaze into the distance, adding a wonderful candid quality. We also used a black shoulder bag and a black camera as props; when I raised the camera close to the lens, it instantly brought a campus art club aesthetic.

The location was an open-air botanical garden, blossoming with small white and pale blue-purple flowers amid lush greenery, alongside white metal railings and wooden rest benches for a clean, refreshing palette. To avoid crowds, we walked along the park's edges, seeking unique corners. The photographer mastered depth of field beautifully, blurring cluttered plants and buildings into soft color blocks to highlight the subject. We shot lively poses like standing against railings and bending one leg toward the camera, as well as gentle seated poses listening quietly to music, capturing various facets of the character.

A high-intensity outdoor park photoshoot day was indeed tiring—carrying equipment around while keeping eyes bright and expressions natural. Though completely exhausted afterward, seeing the raw photos on the camera with great light-and-shadow quality and everyday sailor suit charm made every effort worth it. The photographer was very patient in guiding me to relax my body and adjust angles to the light, creating seamless team synergy. This fanon Rem cosplay preserved her original essence while infusing realistic life and youthful vitality, resulting in a deeply enjoyable and memorable park photoshoot experience.
