This time, we placed Rem in a Pajama cosplay setting for the shoot. Compared to the previous maid outfits, the loungewear style more easily creates an everyday feel close to the character. The light blue wig paired with the iconic pink bow hair accessory and cat ears makes the features very clear. However, the top and bottoms were changed to a thin white camisole, a light blue fluffy coat, and white over-knee stockings. The fluffy texture of the coat brings a full sense of winter comfort, while the pairing of white stockings creates a warm-and-cool color contrast with the fireplace flames in the background.

The shooting location was chosen at a local indoor scene with a fireplace through a Jilin photoshoot booking. Photographer @Xiangyue deliberately used side-backlighting, allowing the warm yellow light to outline the character's silhouette. While wearing this Rem headcanon pajama outfit, the most direct feeling is that this cozy sense of home is very real. For example, the pose of holding a cake in picture two was actually to find a bit of narrative interaction, but unexpectedly, the captured feeling was exceptionally vivid. I also really like the moment in picture three where the coat is pulled together; the wrapping feeling of the coat and the lazy atmosphere combined perfectly.

The difficulty of this shoot lies in retaining the character's soul in a Rem headcanon outfit. The pink bow and short blue hair are the core identification points; I specifically adjusted the layering of the wig so it wouldn't look too heavy. In post-production, the texture of the fluffy coat was enhanced, making the translucency of the white stockings more natural as well. The entire set of photos always revolves around the three keywords: "warmth", "comfort", and "laziness". Without complicated movements, the pure sense of home life is actually closer to Rem's relaxed side in her daily life.

Speaking of which, although I've tried many versions of Rem's outfits before, the Rem headcanon versions always bring surprises. For the thigh-high stockings, I specifically looked for a pair with a suitable thigh circumference, which both maintains the anime feel of Japanese-style outfits and won't leave marks when sitting down. Xiangyue intentionally avoided the edges of the frame during composition, placing the character's center of gravity right in the visual center, which gives the final presentation of the photos a great sense of layering. The shooting process was actually quite short, maybe just over an hour, but the atmospheric feel of the final photos is very strong. Ultimately, cosplay is about retaining the character's charm while finding a way of expression that fits your own aesthetics, and this headcanon styling is a great practice for that.
