The shoot for this Halloween version of Rem cosplay went very smoothly. Right from the start, we locked in this pre-planned Halloween theme, adopting the classic color combination of red, black, and blue. Prop usage was crucial throughout the shoot; pairing the jack-o'-lantern with the red hat added a touch of autumn warmth to the visuals. Photo 1 is a mirror selfie used to check overall proportions and styling. When crafting this look, the focus was placed on emphasizing the asymmetric black Stockings and thigh ring design, which, paired with black long boots, visually elongated the leg lines. Furthermore, the small black wings on the back served as a great decorative touch, preventing the silhouette from looking flat while using the wing lines to enrich the composition. For hair and makeup, the combination of short blue hair and pink hair clips was very eye-catching, and the white ruffled collar contrasting with the black dress highlighted the bust and waistline. Photo 2 shows the screen of the DSLR camera; the live settings used were an aperture of F2.8, ISO 100, and a shutter speed of 1/100s, shooting in RAW format. Under dim indoor lighting, these parameters effectively darkened the background while making the subject pop, creating a rich vintage dark aesthetic. Paired with the jack-o'-lantern as a point light source, the ambiance was fantastic. Posing was adjusted numerous times—such as leaning forward or tilting sideways—to better showcase leg lines and slender proportions. Because an asymmetric Stockings style was chosen this time, extra care was required during post-processing to ensure uniform skin tones. Straightening the costume in the dressing room on the day of the shoot, I felt the black texture looked wonderful under the lighting. As a cosplay endeavor, a lot of thought went into styling, like the skirt's ruffled hem and neckline details. Although there were many details to manage—like smoothing out creases, angling the jack-o'-lantern, and preventing facial glare—the final texture was deeply satisfying. The entire photo set captures the mysterious yet cute ambiance unique to Halloween, making it a very happy photography experience.
