[Rem cosplay] Sailor suit and White stockings Summer Film in the summer pool

This shoot was chosen at an outdoor pool, mainly aiming to capture the refreshing feel of Rem's sailor suit Swimsuit cosplay. The blue-and-white alternating sailor collar top is made of a semi-translucent material. After entering the water, the fabric clings to the skin, revealing a slight outline of the inner layer. Coupled with the bright yellow bow tie and red accents, the color contrast is very eye-catching. The lower body is a white pleated skirt, paired with White stockings over-the-knee socks; this material has a very translucent texture under the sunlight.

In terms of makeup, because of entering the water, both base makeup and color makeup underwent strict waterproof treatment. To restore the makeup feel of the Anime-style photography character, the blush was applied heavily, and pink eyeshadow was blended around the eye area, matching the light blue wig and pink cross hair ornament to unify the overall tone. The wig becomes heavy after entering the water, so I carefully arranged the hair strands before getting into the water to prevent them from sticking to the face and ruining the contour.

Lighting is the key to this set of photos. The midday sun shines directly on the water surface, and the sparkling effect is very beautiful, but it also leads to a particularly large brightness range. To ensure accurate facial exposure, I used an external shooting flash to suppress the highlights of the water surface while utilizing the reflector effect of the water surface for fill light. The blue-and-white stripes of the swimming ring echo the clothing, and I tried several poses in the water holding it. When sitting in the swimming ring, the legs need to be extended forward so that the leg lines of the White stockings appear more slender through underwater refraction. Kneeling in the water has great resistance, requiring core strength to maintain body balance. When standing in the water and lifting the swimming ring, buoyancy must be utilized with the body leaning slightly backward so that the posture won't look rigid.

During the shooting process, getting thoroughly soaked was inevitable. After the clothes were soaked, the wrinkles and draping feel changed, and the skirt hem would naturally spread out, requiring adjustments for every single shot. The temperature of the outdoor pool in summer is very high; although soaking in the water is cool, long-time shooting is quite physically draining. Sometimes I needed to hold my breath and sink into the water, and sometimes I had to raise my head to avoid water getting into my eyes. The refraction and ripples of the water surface made framing full of variables, requiring constant angle-finding.

The photographer on the shore continuously adjusted camera positions, shooting upwards from a low angle, using the water surface as a natural background to enhance the sense of transparency in the frame. Occasionally, other tourists or props would appear in the background, such as the pink floating mat in the distance, but it happened to add some atmosphere of a summer pool. The model for this shoot was Xiaotianxin, and we cooperated under high temperature to complete the shooting of this Rem swimsuit. Handing the swimming ring to different positions and matching the changes in light intensity, we finally captured that refreshing feel of blue-and-white tones in summer. After finishing the last shot and coming ashore, the wind blew across the soaked White stockings, and the chill was very noticeable. This set of photos records the real state of soaking in the water on a high-temperature day, serving as a concrete visual memory left for this summer.
