Slipping into this Strinova Kanami cosplay outfit, my immediate impression was the ingenious harmony between techwear functionality and girlish charm. The black-and-white cropped top, paired with a bright pink neckerchief and waist harness belts, offers an exceptionally vibrant color pop. The lower white pleated skirt features pink gradient ribbons that create rich movement as I walk. The most striking element is undoubtedly the white over-the-knee boots: the glossy pink armor plates at the knees, combined with black-and-silver toe caps and ankle buckles, genuinely make you feel geared up for battle. This shoot took place at an event booth set up with pink-and-purple stepped platforms and a neon mesh wall. The lighting utilized cool pink and purple tones; to complement the ensemble, subtle cool soft light was directed onto my face, making the bright blue contact lenses and pink blush pop beautifully.

Moving into the esports gaming chair and desk setup felt like an effortless fit. Sitting in the gaming chair with legs crossed and hands naturally resting on the armrests—while the monitors displayed the game interface and the background neon signs (featuring 'love', 'hello', and gamepad motifs) glowed—added substantial cyberpunk tech flair to the frame.

For gear, we used a SONY A7M5 paired with the FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM II lens. This focal range proved remarkably versatile within the booth's relatively tight footprint, and the F2.8 aperture guaranteed sufficient light intake under complex convention lighting. To highlight the leg lines and boot designs, we experimented with both standing and seated poses; for instance, crossing legs on the barstool accentuated the waist-to-hip ratio and leg contours cleanly. Since this was a live convention hall where pedestrians and camera equipment could enter the shot, we used my body and solid background panels to block distractions, or opened up the aperture to dissolve the clutter into smooth bokeh. While shot 2 captured environmental elements—including the fill lights and surrounding roll-up banners—it genuinely documented the authentic convention atmosphere.

The garment's textures subtly reflected flash, particularly the waist harness and the glossy accents on the boots, so post-processing slightly pulled down the highlights to preserve textural fidelity. Throughout the shoot, because the skirt hem and streamers were long, sitting down or turning around required caution to prevent tangling. The overall color grading balanced the contrast between pink-purple and monochrome black-and-white, delivering both a futuristic mecha feel and feminine grace. We spent nearly two hours shooting at the booth, testing lighting angles from every perspective. The styling featured light purple-and-white twintails, and the geometric black horn-like hair ornaments on top took multiple adjustments to seat securely. Overall, these Convention photos achieved our intended aesthetic—whether in techwear representation or atmospheric lighting—faithfully recreating the character's visual impression. This shoot reflects great Anime-style photography collaboration with Yiyiyimizhou, and I look forward to exploring even more lighting styles next time.
