The location for this shoot was selected in a very down-to-earth, even slightly industrial-looking corner of a warehouse. Compared to studio shoots with exquisite lighting setups or scenic outdoor spots, this environment filled with flight cases and cardboard shipping boxes actually gave me a whole new space for expression.

The character's signature pale blue short hair is trimmed cleanly and paired with reddish contact lenses, presenting a very clean texture under soft, high-key lighting. In terms of costume, the base is a classic white shirt with a vibrant red ribbon bow at the neckline, paired with a blue pleated jumper dress. Combined with black over-the-knee socks and loafers, the school uniform look has rich layers. Placing such a classic, well-behaved outfit in a cluttered space filled with VILTROX boxes and equipment cases creates a marvelous visual contrast.

During the shooting process, we tried to capture some relaxed and spontaneous states. For example, in the first photo, I'm sitting on a flight case, legs crossed casually, hands resting near my knees, with a calm and natural gaze. Or leaning against stacked cargo boxes, holding a blue-and-white soda can in one hand, creating a moment that feels less like a posed photo and more like a captured break time. The standing poses, such as hands on hips or stretching hands overhead, actually utilize the body's tilt to break the rigid, horizontal lines of the warehouse space.

Equipment-wise, I used a Sony A7R3 paired with a VILTROX 35mm F1.8 EVO lens. The 35mm focal length is perfect for half-body and full-body compositions in this relatively small space; it leaves enough environmental information to explain the background without making the background proportions appear abrupt. The lens's edge sharpness and the soft bokeh under a large aperture just happen to separate the figure from the cluttered boxes, focusing the visual center on the character. For lighting, we used relatively bright soft light to ensure the skin tone appeared fair and translucent; this high-key lighting method is very suitable for recreating the anime school style.

This set of photos truly reflects my understanding of this character. There's no need for exaggerated emotional output; maintaining a self-contained, calm, and slightly detached atmosphere is enough. The clutter in the warehouse environment—even the packaging bags and black equipment cases nearby—can serve as props to help build a narrative, making the whole set look less forced and adding a layer of unpolished reality. As an attempt at a warehouse theme, this collision of contrasting styles adds a different kind of fun and depth to this school uniform look.
