Preparing this styling took quite a while, with the primary hurdles being the energy bow prop and the high-heeled boots on my legs. Although the outfit is lightweight, it features intricate decorations. Using broad contrasts of white, pink, and blue across varied textures with rich dimensional layering, putting it on required meticulous grooming for every layer of the skirt and sleeves. In particular, the massive translucent bow—exceeding standard dimensions in both weight and length—demanded careful leverage control when held up to prevent arm tremors from blurring the photo. Nonetheless, the prop delivered stunning visual impact in Cosplay photography, casting crystal-like refractions under studio lights.
The shooting process itself was quite engaging. For the shots seated on a high stool, which look effortless, my leg muscles were constantly tensed to balance the body, and with the stiff boots, I had to continuously adjust my center of gravity. The photographer patiently guided my lighting; since pink-purple background lights easily cause color casts, we repeatedly fine-tuned light intensities to preserve natural skin tones and the texture of the Long pink hair. For hair and makeup, the wig was groomed meticulously—the pink-to-white gradient along the bangs and sideburns paired with large-diameter contact lenses maximized fidelity to the character's gaze. While applying makeup, I experimented with different eye lines, finding that an elongated outer corner suited this Anime archer best.
The shoot was physically demanding, yet it served as a fulfilling personal challenge. The most memorable part was drawing the bow: to keep the posture expansive and graceful, the waist had to arch naturally while keeping the thighs firmly tensed. The standing poses likewise relied on core and leg strength to maintain balance. Striving to control facial expressions felt like experiencing a completely different life. The final selected photos captured an overall atmosphere perfectly attuned to our shooting state. Compared to overly deliberate poses, the slightly relaxed candid moments looked far more natural.
