Shooting this set of Arknights Amiya cosplay was genuinely intriguing, set in a white studio designed to simulate natural light filtering through.
This outfit features abundant intricate details: a dark coat over a white inner layer, accented by the blue sash. The trickiest part was the animal ears and horn ornaments on my head—they carried noticeable weight and took a long time to secure into the stablest position. The cupped-hands gesture in the second photo is my personal favorite, as it naturally brought my legs together, creating visual layering between the black stockings and the white skirt hem in this Stockings cosplay styling. During the shoot, photographer Baiqi specifically placed a set of cool blue light sources from the rear flank, creating a striking contrast with the surrounding greenery and white drapery to calm the entire frame down—perfectly capturing the melancholic, dreamy aura of Somniloquium Serenum cosplay.
The shooting process was more exhausting than anticipated: holding a bowed head with closed eyes for extended periods left my neck muscles aching, and I had to maintain a subtle profile tilt to ensure clean jawline angles. The staff prop in hand was very long with spikes and barbs; turning around and repositioning in the studio required extreme caution to avoid brushing against the nearby monstera plants. Furthermore, to highlight leg lines, I had to engage my core while seated, extending my calves naturally forward to achieve the most flattering silhouette from a slightly lower camera angle in Cosplay photography. Because the stockings were sheer, they rendered a very unique texture under the cold light, which was a wonderful surprise. I hope everyone enjoys this thoughtfully prepared work.
