[Suzuran Cosplay] Arknights: Dynamic Moments in the Snowy Realm

Shooting Suzuran Cosplay from Arknights at the Wuhan Ice and Snow Center this time was fantastic—the blue-and-white tones of the ice walls beautifully set off the texture of the outfit. Although it features a snowy landscape, it is actually an indoor ice-and-snow set where the ground was quite slippery.

During the shoot, we mainly utilized poses from our reference boards. For instance, in Photo 4, where I'm adjusting my socks on the ice staircase, keeping balance was crucial because the soles of the shoes were slick, and the photographer even helped steady me. Posing beside the pink peach blossom tree, using foreground elements and depth of field, created a dreamy Anime girl atmosphere that offered a striking warm-and-cool contrast against the ice wall.

In terms of styling, since Suzuran features animal ears and nine tails, the plush tail is massive and heavy—something many people are curious about. The tail was anchored to the belt, so keeping balance while walking was essential to prevent pulling the skirt into awkward creases. The outfit consists of a white plush cardigan paired with a teal skirt; the red ribbon on the chest stood out vibrantly against the snow-white backdrop. White stockings paired with Mary Janes were standard, and knowing walking around would dirty them, I brought an extra pair of White stockings just in case.

The black cat plush and flower basket served as wonderful props. Pretending to offer the flower basket or holding the plush made the poses much more lively and expressive. The makeup featured clear, translucent pink tones paired with green colored contacts, looking very soft overall.

Shooting was real physical labor, especially continually adjusting the tail's position and using wire frames to prevent it from sagging. For the shot adjusting socks on the ice steps, the photographer chose a low-angle perspective to elongate leg proportions, making me look taller. The shoot went smoothly overall, though the indoor chill was very real—I had to bundle up in a coat immediately afterward to stay warm.

Because dynamic snapshots like jumping and turning were involved, the plush fabric was tricky to maintain, so we brought a high-powered hairdryer to blow out the tail fur and keep its natural fluffiness. Overall, it was a very successful indoor photoshoot experience, capturing these behind-the-scenes details.
