The official photos for this Lynette Angel Garden cosplay are finally sorted! This time, I didn't strictly follow a rigid lore-accurate approach. Instead, combining the live convention environment, I shot a set of practical pose references.

The costume is from Sanfen Wangxiang's "Angel Garden" series. The moment I got it, I felt the materials and tailoring suited the character perfectly. The main body of the skirt is a color block of pure white and light cyan, heavily featuring lightweight tulle and ruffles. The sheer sleeves on the arms and the voluminous hem easily create dynamic tension whenever there is a breeze or during spinning poses. For details, 3D light blue flowers and pearl decorations at the waist and hemline, along with a beautifully draped pearl necklace, greatly elevate the refined and elegant feel of the overall look. However, while keeping the costume visually gorgeous, putting it on and taking it off requires some attention. In particular, the big bow with cat ears hairpiece—though striking in style—requires careful angles during posing; otherwise, it can easily make the top of the head look heavy, diminishing the character's innate sense of lightness.

I joked in the caption about myself: since I usually cosplay cheerful and sunny characters, my body language and expression management have become somewhat habituated to that vibe. So when shooting a cat girl like Lynette, who possesses a lazy and elegant aura, even though I kept reminding myself to slow down the pace, once in front of the camera, I couldn't help but make energetic gestures like making cat paws with clenched fists, tilting my head, or waving enthusiastically. I guess this counts as blending in my personal style, making the final photos look a bit more energetic than the original sleepy, lazy Lynette. Still, as pose references, these lively standing poses and gestures might be quite helpful for fellow cosplayers who want to capture a natural feel at anime conventions.

These photos were taken live at the convention venue. Due to the complex mix of overhead venue lighting and natural daylight, the lighting conditions were quite tricky. To avoid crowded background crowds, I specifically looked for areas with black drapes or large shaded spots and used photography lights on site. The benefit of this lighting setup is that it makes the skin texture look translucent, while the tulle parts of the dress reflect a soft, luminous glow under the light. Meanwhile, the dark background highlights the subject beautifully. Although cosplaying at a convention venue comes with the pressure of editing out backgrounds later, its authentic depth of field and ambient atmosphere are hard to replicate in a purely indoor studio. For example, the photo where I'm sitting on a plush carpet was purely making the best use of what was on site; the white carpet softened the coldness of the marble floor, unexpectedly adding a cozy, relaxing vibe to the character.

Lastly, a minor drawback of this look is the off-shoulder short dress design paired with strappy high heels. Walking around for hours at the venue was a real test of stamina. But seeing how the thigh rings and straps flattered my leg shape in the final shots made all the effort feel completely worth it. Cosplaying is never easy—from styling the wig beforehand, coordinating the outfit, to finding angles and snapshots on site, every step takes a lot of thought. I'm not a hyper-strict lore purist; I simply want to express my love for this character and outfit in my own way.
