[Lin Yuxia cosplay] Arknights Xingluoqibu Only: Combat readiness in black and purple

Slipping into this Lin Yuxia cosplay styling, I immediately channeled that capable yet subtly tsundere aura. The long straight pink wig paired with fluffy animal ears, along with tailored eye makeup, presented a texture that felt a bit more stoic and cool than expected. The black fabric with subtle geometric jacquard patterns offers rich layering, while the small purple bows at the collar and waist serve as crowning accents. Combined with wide light-blue cuffs and a translucent hemline, walking creates a natural dynamic tension through the ribbons and flowing fabric.

Shooting outside the venue at the Arknights Xingluoqibu Only event, the translucent blade prop caught the light beautifully, reflecting clean glares. Posing in defensive stances or brandishing the sword made the character's crisp, decisive nature unmistakably tangible. To accentuate the agility of a combat role, the legs were styled with black tights in this Stockings cosplay, paired with patent-leather high-heeled ankle boots that visually echoed the purple straps on the skirt. The outfit features numerous subtle design details—such as metal buckles on the shoulders and leather stitching across the corset band—which, though easily overlooked during a shoot, look incredibly exquisite in person.

Strong winds are always a concern for outdoor shoots, but fortunately the weather was pleasant, allowing us to capture satisfying dynamic snapshots as gentle breezes caught the ribbons. Meeting so many fellow fans on site to take photos together and discuss prop craftsmanship created a truly wonderful atmosphere. Characters in Arknights often embody a distinct balance between everyday realism and combat readiness; Lin Yuxia's outfit sits right at this sweet spot, possessing both the chic style of daily fashion and the functionality of combat gear.

During the shoot, I deliberately chose multiple angles to showcase the layered skirt and waist belts, preventing the dominant black palette from looking flat or oppressive. The sword prop had a well-balanced weight, allowing me to maintain stability whether lifting it with one hand or holding it in a reverse grip, making the poses feel fluid and expansive. The color tone of this series leans dark, yet the accents of light blue and pink prevent the frame from feeling somber. Participating in the Arknights Creator Support Program with this project, I feel my interpretation and execution were spot on; fine-tuning the lighting in post-production brought out the fabric sheen and Stockings cosplay texture with close fidelity to the original design.
